This video got buried in the algorithm, but the report that CAUSED the social media ban in Australia, has been revealed to have actually been AI written.
I need to make a clarification. In this video I said that the idea of protecting children is well intentioned, but even if that was the real intention, I still don't agree with handing over ID to verify your age. I am BY NO MEANS saying that I believe that's the real intention, behind age verification (I thought that was pretty clear from hundreds of videos on the topic).
My point was more "the reason doesn't matter, the end result is handing over your passport to use the internet, of which I don't agree with".
The proposed legislation in the UK that could mean YouTube would be legally required to give preferential algorithmic treatment to the BBC, could also become an issue in the US. I've covered it on the US channel:
