An MP just suggested during the Online Safety Act debate that we should doctor algorithms on social media platforms to create more government support, and no one in the room batted an eyelid.

Did a little interesting experiment, and I’m keen to hear if you guys have the same results.
I’ve had a lot of comments from you guys about how YouTube has unsubscribed you from the channel automatically.
And to test a theory, I subscribed to a channel on my phone, went to YouTube on my TV, and it then gave me an option to subscribe again, by clicking it, it said I was subscribed, when in reality it had actually unsubscribed on my phone.
Essentially the UI on a lot of TV’s doesn’t refresh and say whether you are actually subscribed or not, and by clicking subscribe, it appears it’s unsubscribing people?
I’ve tested this on a Panasonic TV. Feel free to test it out and post your results below. Not sure if this is a TV glitch or an actual problem.

Unexpected algorithm shift today. Latest video angered a lot of people that feel Russia are doing nothing wrong hanging out over British power cables.
Not sure why people think the ship is there, but it’s not there to stop digital ID gentlemen.
Also, weird amount of emails about how the UK is costing Russian lives. Have I unlocked a new demographic or something?
