AWS is facing one of its "major outages", mainly impacting "us-east-1 and features Global-Level Services"

😅 The Funny (and Painful) Part:
Even the "AWS Support portal" — where users raise tickets — went down too.

🧩 Root Cause:
A DNS issue broke internal service communication, making MongoDB queries impossible within AWS.

🔧 Aftermath:
Once AWS engineers fixed that, they hit another snag — new EC2 launches*in certain *us-east-1* zones started failing with **capacity errors.

✅ AWS Recommendation:
Update your "launch templates" to use Auto-select Availability Zones to avoid deployment failures.

During a recent DevOps interview, an interesting question came up when the interviewer spotted both Jenkins and ArgoCD listed on my student’s resume:

🎯 Question:
"I see you're using Jenkins for CI/CD, but you've also mentioned Kubernetes deployments via ArgoCD Controller. Why do we need ArgoCD when Jenkins can do deployments too? Can't Jenkins handle Kubernetes deployments just as well?"
