Within the recently proposed Canadian Government budget, it appears that the Canadian public broadcaster CBC (an associate EBU member like SBS of Australia) will receive extra funding of $150 million with one of the highlighted purposes of this being Canadian Eurovision participation. Moreover in an interview Canadian Finance and Revenue minister Francois-Philippe Champagne suggested that Canada had been invited to participate (presumably by the EBU). Do you think this means we will see a Canadian participant at the 2026 contest?
