Billy Rowe “Mouth of the South” Joins the Back to the Beach Radio Team
Tampa, FL / Murrells Inlet, SC — May 11, 2026 — Back to the Beach Radio is proud to announce that veteran radio personality Billy Rowe, affectionately known as “Mouth of the South,” has been selected to join the Back to the Beach Radio team.
Billy will bring his high-energy personality, classic radio style, and deep love for great music to listeners every Monday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time.
Over the years, Billy served as a morning DJ on WATP AM/FM, WKIX Kicks Country, and WJOT in Lake City, South Carolina. He became a trusted voice for listeners, waking folks up, spinning the hits, and bringing energy, humor, and personality to the airwaves. Along the way, he earned the nickname that would follow him through the years — Billy Rowe, “Mouth of the South.”
His love for radio eventually carried him beyond the studio and into station leadership, where he went on to manage the very stations he once helped light up on the air.
Today, Billy and his wife call Murrells Inlet, South Carolina home, where life moves a little slower and the tide rolls in just right. While the microphones may have been quieter in recent years, the stories, the music, and the memories have never stopped playing.
Back to the Beach Radio owner and host Rock Hall said Billy’s addition is a perfect fit for the station’s growing lineup.
“Billy Rowe brings the kind of personality, experience, and love for radio that listeners connect with immediately,” said Hall. “He has that classic radio sound, that Southern charm, and the energy that makes people want to turn the volume up. We’re excited to welcome Billy to the Back to the Beach Radio family.”

I am here today to say how must you guys and gals that have subscribed to my channel means to me. I am just a small time man who wants to bring happiness and joy to people. I can never thank you enough for all the support you have given over the this last few months, yes it only been a couple of months and we started with just me. Now there is 95 of us here on my channel and that pretty impressive to me.
