It’s absolutely devastating to watch innocent dogs suffer because of human choices they never had control over. Seven lives, all feeling confusion, fear, and loss at once. and Chester, already hurt, carrying even more pain. No matter what the situation was, they didn’t deserve to be discarded like they meant nothing. They trusted, they loved, and this is how their story was turned upside down.

Being left in an overcrowded shelter, where their futures are uncertain, is a heavy price to pay for decisions they never made. It’s unfair, it’s heartbreaking, and it shouldn’t happen. These dogs needed guidance, care, and responsibility not abandonment.

I just hope with everything in me that Chester, Peter, and every one of those souls finds a home filled with patience, kindness, and real love. A place where they’ll finally feel safe again, where they’re not just kept but truly cherished. Because that’s what they’ve deserved all along.

HAL is a 6 year old, 97 pound gentle soul who is heartworm positive and now sitting on the euthanasia list at Dallas Animal Services. He doesn’t understand what a deadline means. He doesn’t know his life has a date attached to it. He only knows the kennel feels lonely, the days feel long, and no one has come for him yet.

Despite everything, HAL is still here. Still hoping. Still waiting for someone to see that his life matters. Heartworm treatment is treatable. His situation is not hopeless but time is.
