FAQ
Q: What Animation software do you use?
A: I used Source Filmmaker for the majority of my fight animations but I've been using Blender for about 7 years and now I use it to make all my animations.
Q: Do you still watch RWBY?
A: Not since volume 6 and I haven't made any effort to keep up with it since then. Nothing personal, I'm just not interested in it anymore.
Q: Are you a girl?
A: Nope!
Q: Are you trans?
A: Nope again! I just happen to be a male with a not so masculine voice.

On this day 10 years ago, this world lost Monty Oum.
I still remember it as if it had happened just yesterday. I remember watching the announcement video on The Know and being completely shocked by it. by 2015 I had already learned a lot about Monty Oum and learned how long his work had been a part of my life. I watched Haloid for the first time around it came out when I was about 9-10 years old, I knew it was good but I took it for granted, I didn't know how special it was.
When I discovered the Tex vs Reds and Blues fight on Rooster Teeth's channel I once again knew it was special, it wasn't until some time later I realized it was the same person.
My first tests imitating Haloid and Monty's work in RVB started around 2013 as a direct homage to Haloid.
Around 2014 I began to flounder in my animation, I couldn't finish anything and it felt like I had nothing to offer. I just didn't think I'd ever be good enough to fulfill my own animation ideas or get a job in the industry.
I got in on the ground floor with RWBY. I was there when the first trailer came out and I watched each one leading up to RWBY Volume 1's first episodes.
I once again took for granted that it was special. I believed that it was good, but that it was a good that I could find somewhere else.
When we lost Monty, we lost that something special and that realization lit a fire under my feet and it made me move, I couldn't be complacent anymore.
To say Monty Oum and his work meant a lot to me is a gross understatement. I devoted 9 years of my life to helping people understand his work, trying to replicate his work and trying to propagate his unique art form so that that something special would not die with him.
When I started on my first animation after he passed, I caught myself thinking "I hope he sees this."
The memory of that realization will never leave me.
Fast forward to the moment I was able to show the fruits of my ambition and the hard work of my friends to Monty Oum's own brothers at RTX, 10 years after RWBY began, it's clear how much of an impact Monty had on my life.
When I was still in Austin, myself and my friends visited Monty Oum's favorite Dave n Busters where he'd dance on the Pump it Up machine. After having had his playlist Pump it Up videos playing on repeat as I animated for OVA 1 and OVA 2, it felt as if I were visiting my old home.
The Dave n Busters was still there, the Pump it up machine was gone. No indication of it's existence but a metal plate covering the power outlet where it used to sit.
But myself and my friends knew what used to be there.
Rest in peace, Monty.

Howdy again!
I just wanted to provide a quick but important update about my content.
Recently I uploaded a video called “Beyond the Veil” a spooky homage to the classic horror games of the early 2000’s, it was a great challenge and it was one of the most creatively fulfilling projects I’ve undertaken.
I mention that because I’ve decided that I want to do more like that.
RWBY has been my mainstay and I know that nearly all of you have subscribed because you like my RWBY content but the truth is, I’m just ready to approach my own original ideas, I want to experiment and I want to make more attempts at a serious narrative and hone my skills as a Filmmaker.
It won’t be all as scary as Beyond the Veil but I do enjoy the genre of horror and will likely revisit it later on.
I want to be clear that RWBY content will still happen on this channel, but I need to make sure that you know that I’m going to venture outside of that area more often now and I don’t want you to be spooked that I’m quitting RWBY or something because I'm not, I don't even think it's possible for me to quit RWBY.
For those of you that subscribed exclusively for RWBY content, I encourage you to stick around for my further parodies of the RWBY Trailers (Yellowish, Blackish, Whitish and Reddish) because I still plan on doing them as well as other RWBY related ideas.
Overall, I’m hoping that this will be my next big step to grow as an artist and I hope that you’re all willing to venture out of the comfort zone with me.
As an extra treat, 6 Bird Studio (of which I am a member) is in the midst of another major animated production that I think many of you will enjoy. Be sure to hop over and subscribe there so you don’t miss it!
I’m gonna try to keep up communication with you guys so I don’t keep going dark over and over again, maybe I’ll even attempt a spooky Halloween stream sometime this month.
Whatever the future holds, remember to keep moving forward and I’ll see y’all when I upload next!

Hey guys! I'm going to Anime Expo! Am I hosting any panels or manning a booth? No!! :D
Do I watch any anime? No!! I have no idea how or why this happened!
I'm mostly telling you this because it means I'll be gone for the next week and that means I'm probably going to miss my upload for the 12th.
Once I get back, I'll be back working on "Echoes of the Beyond" and that'll still be coming out on the 28th!
Then of course I'll get back on track with my tutorial videos and potentially a new RWBY Animation.
For now, I have a question. What would you like to see from me in the coming months?

For any of those who might have missed it, I have an original project in the works!
As a child I used to watch my brother play on our PlayStation 1 and 2 so much I would often dream in the form of a video game. That included my nightmares.
"Echoes of The Beyond" is heavily inspired by the Xbox and Playstation 2 horror titles of my childhood and I'm doing everything not only to make it feel like those games but to also technically look like it came out in 2003.
I know it's not my usual RWBY content but I want this to sort of mark the beginning of me finally moving towards more original content. Eventually I'd like to even start my own series!
There will of course still be RWBY animations coming out but I'd like to do a little bit of Both!
So while it's different, I hope you're able to enjoy it!
"Echoes of the Beyond" is coming out on July 26th! When that day comes, grab a snack and shield your eyes as we see what happens when Merrill Rogers calls out to the beyond...

A little different from my normal content I know but to commemorate the 25th anniversary of my favorite childhood movie, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, I'd like to repost this oldie!
I made it about 3 years ago and it didn't get much attention at the time but it was truly a labor of love.
Because I wasn't able to rip the models from the game directly, I manually recreated 30+ models including vehicles, characters and environments from the film all in the style of Star Wars Episode 1: Racer for the N64 and Dreamcast.
It took me about 3 months to do the whole thing.
For those who enjoyed the game as a child, enjoy the boost of nostalgia! For those that didn't, have a hearty chuckle over cursed green Jabba and strap in for the galaxy's most dangerous sport with the highest stakes and the lowest polycount!
