It can feel like warfare because of the discomfort and tension.
But to sharpen iron, it requires slight resistance and friction.
The important thing to remember about Iron is that its easily moldable, yet strong. But, over exposure to the thing used to sharpen it can cause it to weaken and become unusable.
So, trust that God above, our Creator and Sustainer, knows the intricate details of our ability to endure. He knows exactly the right amount of pressure to apply to develop us, and just the right point to withdraw us to keep us from being over exposed. For this, we give Him glory.
It's working out for your good and His glory.

Introspection is crucial to your development.
Sometimes personal revival tarries due to sin, unforgiveness, anger, resentment, bitterness, pride, lust, greed, disobedience, etc.
We're accustom to asking the Lord for things, even His Glory. But I challenge you to ask Him to reveal your heart, the dangers lurking beneath the surface, the hindrances and/or burdens to your development.
Then work through them by offering each area back to Him. Acknowledgement, accountability, and proper action robs the enemy of the very things he uses for his purpose.
We're disabling the enemy, paralyzing his plans, that way no weapon formed can prosper.
