I’m a recovering spendaholic who finally woke up to herself!
I’m currently taking on a **365-day NOPE Challenge — No Outside Purchases Ever**. I’m the only person in my household doing it, and for one year I’m living only on what I can **grow, catch, raise, barter, forage, be gifted, borrow or already own**.
At the same time, I’m learning the old ways, growing and preserving food, making instead of buying, cooking from what I have, and becoming as self-sufficient as I can.
I’m a complete beginner, learning in real time and stepping away from consumerism and rejecting the idea that I need more possessions, more upgrades and a prescribed version of 'success' to live a good life.
I’m 53, arthritic, have unmedicated ADHD and am GEN X lol🤪 if I can do this, you can too.

What kind of things would you like me feature in future videos that you would consider interesting viewing as part of this challenge? Let me know! I will be going fishing next week as part of my 'catch' aspect to the challenge. This will be my first time!

Had terrible weather here over the past few days. Have been doing 'clean-up'. Thankfully, we're not in Mississippi though, my heart goes out to those affected there. I will be back posting my videos soon. Going through this really makes you wonder how our ancestors survived.

As I’m working through this 365‑day simple‑living challenge — growing, catching, bartering, foraging, raising chickens, existing only on what I have, cooking from scratch, ditching the grocery store, ditching EVERY store etc, my faith is shaping a lot of the choices I make. It's making me see things so differently now. My eyes are opening to what's important. Would you like to see more videos where I share the practical homestead side and the spiritual lessons that are presenting themselves to me on this journey?
