Henlo guys! I wanted to talk something serious about the future of this channel. I've pondered a lot about my goals & what I enjoy doing for the past month. It all boils down to character designs. As you can already see, previous videos were all about that! I really enjoyed exploring the creative works behind character creation and their stories. I wasn't even expecting a lot of you would really enjoy the characters I've created, and I am so thankful for it.
However, as of now, making characters + their stories into a video is labor-intensive work that is just too much for a single person to handle. I find myself getting sucked into perfecting a character and posting everything when the video is done, isn't the most ideal thing to do. Well I mean, 1 illustration a month is way too long! It took at least a month or two for a character along with its video to be launched. No matter how much I love to do it, I can't sustain myself this way, especially with YouTube's algorithm that doesn't support this type of content that much.
I've been revising my goals and studying how other character artists like myself, can prosper. Yup, most of them focus on doing more illustrations, than spending time editing a video. So, I will narrow my focus to making character illustrations only for the next few months, along with the character's trivia (just like the one below). This way, I can post up to 1-3 posts a week on other platforms like Instagram or Twitter. I will also adjust my ko-fi benefits accordingly with this plan. This way, you guys can also see more awesome characters in a quicker pace! I think that will be more entertaining that waiting a month only for a single character...
So what is this channel going to be for now? As I have stated before, I will focus on doing illustrations, but it doesn't mean I will stop completely from posting on YouTube. So here is what you can expect: - I will upload shorts randomly, just a speedpaint of my latest illustrations. - A very rare instance of future long videos. I have 1 on going right now, but it will be delayed.
I have wanted to tell you guys for so long, but I just can't bear to say this right away when I wasn't really sure back then. But now I have set up my mind to open new chapters, so please follow me on twitter/instagram if you'd like to see more characters in the future, since I will be focusing on those platforms instead.

I will take my time off making the practice shorts (I will keep practicing off-screen ahaha), and instead focus my time on producing final/fully rendered illustrations at a quick pace!
More than what you have been seeing in our daily practice videos, I do other practices that I don't post online... studying materials, reading books, and doing other stuffs. Sometime, I also forgot to hit the record button on my daily practice so I had to retake the video, and redo the practice right from zero 🤣. And of course, this consume a lot of my time, but I believe none of the practice is gone wasted! Will I be doing daily practices in the future? Well, there is a high chance I will do it again if there are requests, but for now, I need to focus on producing better stuffs.
I will open up commissions soon, since YouTube ad revenue doesn't do any justice when it comes to art content like what I'm doing here ahaha, I need to find a way or another to sustain myself financially... I do enjoy making content like this, but I need side-jobs to support myself so that I can keep giving you guys free & high-quality content. So yeah, the practice season has passed, and now I want to enter the "producing" season as to speak.
I will keep you guys updated on the community post here on Youtube, and my Ko-Fi. Perhaps, I will also be uploading shorts here and there, with some audio for updates, so it will be better than a daily update of practices without my voice ahaha since some of you said that you missed my voice 😂🙏

I am still working on the next video, it took longer than I had expected. (kind of wanted to split it into 2 videos, but ended up not doing that) I have to draw 40+ drawings for the next project. It is huge 😭 It will be centered around learning how to color a certain material, and explaining our beloved Popcorn Girl's story... Oh right,... her name is Mel btw! 😊
Besides it, I have been taking care of my mother, she has been sick for a while and it was getting worse for the past few weeks. So yeah, I am going to try my best and work harder!

I am still working on the next video, it took longer than I had expected.
