What a brilliant day out today walking the Lost Farms route with Max from our little 'Fell Folk' Patreon community!

A huge thank you to Max for coming along 🤙 and I hope I didn’t talk your ear off too much over the 8+ miles we covered! 🤣

We visited most of the farm ruins featured in my Lost Farms YouTube film, and quite unexpectedly I found myself helping Max track down at least six geocaches hidden among the ruins.

They were there completely by chance, but it opened up a whole new world to me. Geocaching is absolutely fascinating! 📌🗺️🕵🏻‍♂️

I’ll admit, I was a little worried first thing this morning when the rain was hammering down ☔️, but thankfully it soon eased. By the time we were up on the moor, conditions were improving, and we ended up walking back down in sunshine. ☀️ Smashing!

What made today particularly special for me, though, was being reminded just how lucky I am to already have a small group of 11 wonderful people supporting what I’m trying to build with Lancashire Lad.

Since Christmas, I’ve been sharing a vision of one day doing this full-time 🤞🏼 creating films, telling stories from our fells, and shining a light on the landscapes and history that make this part of the world, mostly up North, so special.

The fact that even a handful of people believe in me enough to join my patreon community genuinely means more than I can put into words. 🥹

Not to mention, today felt like more than just a walk. It felt like the beginning of something... 🙏🏻

This was the first of what I hope will be many Fell Folk meet-ups. I’d love to create more opportunities for us to get out on the hills together, share stories, meet like-minded folk, and build a real community around a shared love of the outdoors.

The start of something special. Max is now the original Fell Folk member to attend one of these walks 🤙

If you’d like to be part of future meet-ups, behind-the-scenes updates, whilst helping to support the films and stories I’m creating, I’d love to welcome you into the Fell Folk community:

We’ve got plenty of walks ahead of us, planning to keep things local in Lancashire as well to start with - and I’m already looking forward to the next one! ☺️

Have a great rest of the weekend, you lot!

New Film 🎥🌿 live Tonight from 6pm! ☕️
Filmed back at the end of March...

This day honestly had a little bit of everything... from incredible woodland scenes walking through thick fog, to trees literally falling down in front of us! 😳🌲🙈

Of course, plenty of beautiful Lake District views along the way to enjoy as well.

Hope you can join us on this one - as me & Henry explore Whinlatter Forest for the first time. ☕️

My Lost Farms film is finally out 🚜🌿🎥

Honestly, this one has been years in the making. Years of just thinking about it... followed by months of planning and research, long days out filming in the fells in search of them, and many late nights editing it all together - but I’m really proud of how it turned out.

Thank you to everyone who’s watched it so far, shared it, commented, or sent messages to me about it. I genuinely read all of it, and it means more than you probably realise.

These longer storytelling films take a huge amount of time to create, but they’re the kind of films I want to make more of moving forward.

Slower, deeper stories about these landscapes, the people who lived in them, and the forgotten corners of the North.

Next month I’ll actually be heading back up into these fells with members of The Fell Folk - my Patreon community 🥾 for a relaxed walk passing some of the lost farm locations from the film.

It’s not a expert guided walk or anything too formal - more just me saying “this is where I’m heading if anyone fancies joining me for a slow paced wander.”

Good people, great views, and hopefully decent weather 👍😎

I’d love to do more of these community rambles in future too, if everyone enjoys it!

So if you appreciate the films and would like to help support the channel - or you fancy joining us on future walks in the fells - join The Fell Folk below.

For the past 6 weeks, around work, life, and everything in between, I’ve been slowly putting together a personal filming project, featuring a story close to home.

I didn't want to rush this one - just steady progress whenever I could.

And now… it’s almost ready.

It’ll be going live later this week - and I’m genuinely proud of this one ❤️🌿 I can't wait for you all to watch it.

🎥 Hopefully are all subscribed to the Lancashire Lad YouTube channel so you don't miss it's release!

How we all doing folks 👋 hope everyone's had a cracking Easter 🐣🌿 I'll be honest, this latest film I'm working on... think I've bitten off more than I can handle at this stage in my YouTube journey.

Firstly, it's taken several half-days of filming + all the initial planning & research... now for the actual edit! 🤯

I'm on with it regardless - because this is a story i've been desperate to tell for a few years now. Hopefully I don't butcher it, but then again - this isn't a BBC production! 🤣🤷🏻‍♂️

Hopefully have this one published soon for you all to enjoy with a proper brew. In the meantime, here's a photo captured on one of those half days spent out in the fells. If you recognise the area, then you might know what film I'm making.

See you real soon! Tom

How's it going folks! 👋 Just wanted to pop on here and say a big thanks to all those that have watched me latest film from the fells - an absolute corker of a day up in't Yorkshire Dales whilst visiting a glamping business in the area.

Also wanted to welcome Nikky - the newest member to the Fell Folk (my growing patreon community) 🙌 Thank you for your support Nikky! I won't let you down... lots more films to come this year.

Fancy supporting a Lancashire Lad through 2026 - forcing him to cover more miles and drink more caramel lattes from coffee shops than ever before... 🤪☕️ Join us in the Fell Folk! www.patreon.com/thefellfolk

ps. Next milestone - if we can get to at least 20 members - definitely going to setup a little community ramble for us later this year! 🙏🏻🥾

Ok back to editing the next film Tom! ☕️🧑🏻‍💻😩

Been wanting to make a video on this topic for far too long - second film of the new year is out later tonight... revealing what's inside my backpack for 2026!

🎥 Kit reveal goes live from 6.30pm tonight :)

ps. Also exploring parts of the farm I grew up on, so I'll have a few stories and possibly some embarrasing photos to share with you as well! 🤣 Jeez. Hope I don't regret this decision haha!

See some of you there. Tom

How-do folks! 👋 Hope everyone is well! Might not have a film ready for this week but trying me best 🤪... I've just got back from a busy few days in the Yorkshire Dales - caves were conquered and spectacular views enjoyed! 😍🌅

Look forward to editing two films from this trip - but next up is likely a 'what's in my backpack' film. Just need to check all the audio (it was proper windy the day of filming! 💨)

Been meaning to talk about my kit list for a while! 🎒Should be interesting for fellow content creators but also loyal members of this community... as I'm walking around the family farm I grew up on. 🥹 Praying the audio is OK! 🤞🏼💨

Back on your screens real soon (if not, this weekend!)
