мы продолжаем собирать работы на мутабьют, посвящённый 35-летию выхода альбома loveless шугейз-легенд my bloody valentine.



не будем рассказывать о том, насколько легендарен альбом, лучше расскажем про суть опен-колла:

что такое мутабьют? слово образовано из двух английских слов — mutation (мутация, преобразование) и tribute (дань, трибьют). то есть, мутабьют — это трибьют исполнителю, в котором произведения автора меняют свою первоначальную форму и (возможно) среду. это может быть нойз на основе песни артиста, визуальный арт на основе спектрограммы песни, ремикс на песню или просто видоизменённый кавер — всё, что угодно.

в этот раз мы решили немного пожертвовать свободой артистов ради одной интересной задумки: воссоздать loveless в разножанровом формате. присылайте свои интерпретации треков с этого альбома, но учитывайте несколько вещей:

1. необязательно треки должны быть шугейзовые или роковые, приветствуются любые жанры.
2. интерпретации необязательно должны содержать вокал, как вам угодно, так и творите. если вы хотите нойз-версию, делайте нойз. вообще видоизменить композицию, будем рады услышать новое на основе старого.
3. в этот раз мы ограничили число ai-интерпретаций - максимум три трека возможны.
4. построение сборника полностью идентично треклисту loveless и будет содержать 11 треков. это значит, что интерпретация одного конкретного трека принимается только ОДИН раз, дубликаты исключены. для ориентирования мы вам высылаем оригинальный треклист, готовые и принятые треки будут зачёркиваться в этом списке по мере формирования сборника.

we're still accepting submissions for our mutabute dedicated to the 35th anniversary of my bloody valentine's landmark album loveless.


instead of telling you how legendary this album is, we'd rather explain what this open call is all about.

what is a mutabute?

the word is formed from two english words — mutation and tribute. a mutabute is a tribute in which an artist's work is transformed into a new form and, possibly, a new medium. it can be a noise piece based on a song, visual art derived from a song's spectrogram, a remix, a radically altered cover version, anything goes.

this time, we've decided to sacrifice a bit of artistic freedom in favor of one particular concept: recreating loveless through a wide range of genres. send us your interpretations of the album's tracks, but please keep the following in mind:

1. your submission doesn't have to be shoegaze or rock. all genres are welcome.
2. your interpretation doesn't have to include vocals. create whatever feels right to you. if you want to make a noise version, make a noise version. if you want to completely reshape the composition, go for it. we'd love to hear something new growing out of something familiar.
3. this time we've limited ai-generated interpretations — no more than three tracks in the compilation may use ai.
4. the compilation will follow the original loveless tracklist exactly and will consist of 11 tracks. this means that each song may be interpreted only ONCE. duplicate submissions for the same track will not be accepted. to help you keep track, here's the original tracklist. accepted tracks will be crossed out as the compilation gradually takes shape.

детство — это время, когда мы ещё не задумываемся, откуда берутся истории. они просто существуют рядом с нами, свободно смешиваясь друг с другом. сказки, мультфильмы, дворовые игры, телепередачи, услышанные мелодии и собственные фантазии становятся частью одного большого мира, где всё постоянно меняется, обрастает новыми смыслами и принимает неожиданные формы.

что такое мутабьют? слово образовано из двух английских слов — mutation (мутация, преобразование) и tribute (дань, трибьют). мутабьют — это трибьют, в котором произведение меняет свою первоначальную форму.

именно таким и оказалось детство. мир, в котором каждая история могла стать началом другой истории.


изначально выход сборника был запланирован в начале лета, в день защиты детей (1 июня), затем был перенесён на всемирный день борьбы с детским трудом (12 июня), однако и тут релиз не состоялся.

таким образом, дедлайн был продлён, а выход приурочен к последнему дню лета. примечательно, что 31 августа для российских школьников - это последний день каникул, 1 сентября начинается учебный год и ребята садятся за парты. для котят, поступающих в вузы и колледжи, 31 августа и вовсе становится последним днём детства.

childhood is a time when we rarely wonder where stories come from. they simply exist around us, blending freely into one another. fairy tales, cartoons, playground games, television, half-remembered melodies, and our own imagination all become part of a single world where everything keeps changing, gaining new meanings, and taking on unexpected forms.


what is a mutabute? the word combines two english words — mutation and tribute. a mutabute is a tribute in which a work transforms its original form.


perhaps childhood itself was always a mutabute. a world where every story could become the beginning of another.


the collection was originally scheduled for release in early summer, on children's day (june 1), and was then postponed to world day against child labour (june 12), but the release did not happen then either.


thus, the deadline was extended and the release was scheduled for the last day of summer. notably, august 31 is the last day of the summer holidays for russian schoolchildren, with the academic year beginning on september 1, when they return to their desks. for kittens entering universities and colleges, august 31 becomes the last day of childhood altogether.
