It’s unique, yes, but with caramelized onions, cashew nutritional yeast sauce, white beans, seasonings up the ying yang, miso, couple shakes of habanero sauce, oven baked brocolette…well this made for something unique but delicious. Shout out to make it dairy free for this recipe. Chefs kiss to you all, and may you’re tummy’s be as satisfied as ours are ❤️ 🥘
I have found myself in a place that feels uncomfortable but I’m ready for a serious change. Being able to get quick easy food from restaurants, fasts food, delis ect have been a love language for many years. But, after eating at too many places at times (I don’t eat out as much as I used to,) the food is disgusting. Overpriced, food poisoning, stomach pains after eating at places, this expectation to tip. Working in restaurants in the pasts, choosing to pull away from supporting these places feels wrong, but I don’t need to get sick one more time, feel a pressure to tip, or have this weird fake service anymore. Our relationship with food has become boxed into convenience. We throw away food from an animal that died and suffered for us to eat, we over eat, over consumed. It’s time for a change.

Thanksgiving is strange because we’re taught to be grateful without being allowed to ask what paid the price. What an interesting thanksgiving as we gathered with family friends and people who didn’t have anyone to spend it with so they came to ours. I met a Vietnam vet who was known as a “tunnel rat.” A tunnel rat was someone asked to go where no one else could. A person sent underground, stripped of visibility, backup, and certainty, forced to rely on instinct, breath, and nerve. They didn’t fight battles in the open. They met fear one on one, inches at a time, in the dark. What this man told me was shocking and it made me realize on a day to give thanks…well me being my cynical self, this is my thoughts A country that needs war to function economically and needs sacrifice to sustain its identity will always tell its people to be thankful.
Thankful instead of asking questions. Thankful instead of grieving honestly. Thankful instead of being angry at the right people. Because if people really sat with the truth that human beings were sent to die or kill so stock prices, contracts, and global influence could continue gratitude would curdle into rage.
Hey y’all, I’ll be posting the video that was intended for today…tomorrow. Feeling under the weather so going to take it easy. Hope yall got some good food in your tummies, having a groovy day and treating yourself good. Have a fantabulous night! I’m going to go eat some pie now 🥧
We’re addicted to the very apps and platforms that exploit children, adults, and even animals and when someone finally speaks an uncomfortable truth, most people would rather mock it or excuse it than open their eyes. We cling to social media for comfort like it’s a lifeline, even when it’s hurting people. We defend websites harder than we defend human beings. That’s how sick we’ve become. We’d rather keep our entertainment than admit these platforms are enabling exploitation. I will prove to everyone this tomorrow from my personal experience on an app I was just trying to expose but people got very upset when I said it should be shutdown if it doesn’t fix the issue.
Ive been curious about the dollar, how much money really is worth. Please correct my math if it’s wrong but, $2,000 today looks like a large one time payment, but if you adjust for inflation, it’s only about what $195 would’ve bought in the mid 1960s. If you compare price levels from 1965 to now (a factor of 10.3) that $2,000 only goes as far as $195 did back then. $2,000 in 1965 had the purchasing power of about $20,569.90 today. So basically $2,000 isn’t worth $2,000, if I’m correct on math it’s worth about $195. The US dollar has lost 90 percent of its value meaning our leaders for years have not been financially responsible. If these checks are in fact sent to Americans just remember, it’s not actually $2,000 dollars you’re getting. It’s much less. Numbers are just fantasy.
Sometimes I think about how people with epilepsy were once burned at the stake because society thought they were “possessed.”
They truly believed they were doing the right thing protecting their community, honoring their beliefs, following their leaders.
And yet they were committing atrocities. It makes me wonder how many times in history people followed the wrong leaders, the wrong systems, the wrong ‘truths’ simply because everyone else was doing it.
People worshipped leaders who later turned out to be monsters, forrrrr instance
Hitler was celebrated by millions Stalin was praised as a “father” Mussolini made crowds cheer Jim Jones convinced people he was a prophet Dozens of dictators were seen as “saviors”
They had fans. Supporters. Followers. People thought they were doing the right thing… until the truth hit too late.
So it makes me ask…. What are we doing today that will look insane 100 years from now?
What leaders do we defend today because we’re too scared to admit they’re corrupt? What systems do we support because we’re conditioned to accept them? What suffering do we ignore because it’s “normal”? History proves one thing over and over again People rarely recognize evil in real time especially when it comes wrapped in authority, confidence, and popularity. So what will our descendants say about us?
