CISE was established in March 2020 as an outcome of the UGC-UKIERI project. The Centre was set up to incubate social enterprises and nurture future entrepreneurs. The aim is to engage with social change through creative ideas, critical social research and a process of innovation.

The Centre addresses pressing social issues ensuing the society and focuses on licitly solving them. By providing mentorship, resources, and a supportive ecosystem, the Centre empowers individuals to create meaningful social impact. Through various programs and initiatives, it fosters innovation and drives positive change in communities.
