This will be a documentary of mostly everything we know to date about the Brave Engineer and his story as well as a bit of my own personal experience in seeing him as a hero and documenting my visit to the Casey Jones Home and Railroad Museum. Hello everyone, I want to apologize for taking so long on the Summerville Steam Special video as ive been very busy in my personal life with work and other things, and on top of that my lagtop (pun intended) and Davinci Resolve have been operating extremely slow, therefore making my motivation to work on the video very low. Im going to try and push through the next few days to get it finished. At the latest I will have it out by Thanksgiving. Again I apologize sincerely for those who have been waiting for it. In the meantime however, i will be going up to see the CPKC holiday train on Saturday night so expect a video of that in the coming days. See you down the line!

Hello friends! I wanted to give one more update as to the future of the channel before YouTube's heinous update begins tomorrow.

For those who don't know, youtube will begin implementing an AI system to determine whether you are over or under 18 based on the videos you watch. If the system determines you are under 18, you will be limited from certain features from YouTube and possibly be restricted from uploading altogether. However, if the system determines you incorrectly, you can submit your ID, credit card, or photo of yourself. This is not only a huge security risk that can put you in danger of identity theft but is also an infringement on our rights to freedom of speech. Th UK is cracking down not just on youtube but on the entire in a much harsher way that can only be described as "Orwellian." Though it might be too late if you would like to voice your support against this awful Act I will leave a link to a petition at the bottom of the post.

As per my last post, though I have no plans to leave the channel, should I not be affected. I am currently looking for a new platform as a backup for the channel to call home, some sites that have been that recommended to me are Vimeo, Daily Motion, Odysee, and Rumble. While I havent chosen a particular site yet, I will be making an account with one in the very near future as a backup should this channel be hit by the god-awful AI system. And if any of you guys have suggestions on any good video sharing platforms, please feel free to leave any suggestions in the comments. I will try to leave a link to whatever site I choose either on one of my videos or in a post.

Hello friends! It's been a while and I apologize for my prolonged absence. I wanted to give an update as to my current thoughts on the current firestorm of the Online Privacy Act in the UK (and possibly soon here in the US), and the future of this channel if it becomes a problem. So strap in for a long winded rant as I have a lot to say.

For those that don't know what this is, the Kids Online Safety Act is a proposed piece of legislation designed on the surface to protect children from harmful online content like pornography. While this sounds like a great thing on the surface, once you take a deep dive into what lies below, it's easy to see it's a form of mass surveillance and censorship.

Many sites are already asking for forms of government ID, Credit Card Numbers, Or facial recognition so that "you can prove you are of an adult age". Sites such as Reddit, X, Spotify, Discord, and even Wikipedia, have already taken action. YouTube just this past Wednesday announced starting August 13th here in the US, it will use AI to determine your age based on the content you view now (not the birthdate you entered when signing up for it) and will limit your access to certain videos and features on the site. Though the act has not gone through at the moment in the US, it is currently being proposed in legislation. And an act very similar to this has already taken effect in the UK.

So what does this mean for the Channel? Hopefully nothing. It survived the big COPPA fiasco in 2019 so hopefully this is more of the same. Unfortunately, if I'm hit by this in a negative way, this will be the end of my time on here as I'm not willing to just hand over my private information to YouTube. BUT hopefully this isn't the end of GLRP period. I'm currently seeking any alternative options for posting my content for you all to enjoy! I will provide any updates either in a community post or a video should community posts become unavailable to me. In the meantime, Thank you all so much for sticking with me despite the sporadic upload times, I really appreciate seeing you all enjoying the railroad stuff both big and small. And hopefully come November I'll have a big surprise for you guys. Until then may all your signals be green! See you down the line!
