Shoutout to our tribal member Jason 👏🏽 who encouraged us to look into this, and we’re so glad we did.

Both UNDRIP and ADRIP are important when it comes to Indigenous rights, but here’s why ADRIP truly matters in the foundation of the Xi-Amaru Republic.

🌍 UNDRIP (United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples) is globally recognized and affirms our rights, but it’s non-binding, meaning governments are not legally required to follow it.

🛡️ ADRIP (American Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples), however, is binding under the Inter-American system. That means countries like the U.S. are held to account when we assert our rights, jurisdiction, and nationhood under it.

It’s more than just paperwork, this is about the legal foundation of our autonomy.

Thankful to people like Jason who are not spectators, but along the way provide tools that continue to strengthen our nation-building journey. 🙏🏽
