Hi and welcome. I am Serge, HAM radio operator callsign E77SR. If the content on this channel makes you want to pack a radio, go outside, and enjoy CW, I succeeded. Hope you enjoy it. 73!
Carrying the radial wire when going portable can be pain in the a$$. So I got cheap 0.3mm wire and cheap plastic spools, cut 10m of each wire and marked it for 40, 30, 20, 17, 15 and 10m band lengths. No tangling, no mess in the backpack. When tuning for particular band, I just wind it back or extend to the marking. Cost? Around 3-4$ for 4 radials. #portabletipsandtricks#qrp#pota#sota#parksontheair#summitsontheair#cw
30m is one of my favourite bands but I never had a light and portable antenna for it. So I decided to build a linked dipole for WARC bands (30, 17, and 12m). Just tested it by mounting the antenna on a tree at about 10 meters above the ground and it works great! A cool feature of linked dipoles is the links (in this case Anderson Powerpoles) that you connect or disconnect, depending on the band you want to operate on. I called it SJW-3 and it will go into my backpack.

Surprising openings of 17 and 15 tonight. The miracle of 5 watts on CW (still amazed).
