"Does the Pope shit in the woods?"
Although this is an odd question- some of you would read this and pull a different meaning from this sentence. That's because this is a MALAPHOR- a funny blend of two idioms that leads to a usually nonsensical sentence.

It's made up of "Does a bear shit in the woods?" and "Is the Pope Catholic?"- both common idioms used in place of saying "absolutely", "yes", "100%". But by blending them the sentence now asks a question that doesn't really convey this 100% yes, but you still recognize it as a rhetorical question being used to sarcastically say yes.

Neat.

See if you can identify the idioms that make up these while hopefully u lol at them like i did at the silliness of them:

a) We'll burn that bridge when we get to it
b) In for a penny, a penny spent
c) That's a hard nut to swallow (hehe)
d) It's time to swallow the bullet
e) I'm healthy as a horse, but you can't make me drink
f) You've open this can of worms, now lie in it

I just learned about the Australian Emu War- the battle where the military conceded to birds-
Australian farmers were butting heads with 20,000 emus who were eating all their crops. They asked the military to step in and help. So the Australian miliary launched a mission with a commander, a seargant and a gunman loaded with some machine guns to go take out emus.

They faced criticism from the public, it DOES look a little weird to see your tax dollars go to a war on emus, so the mission was cancelled.

But then the farmers complained more and so they launched a SECOND MISSION-
which they also withdrew from.

They didn't even manage to "neutralize" 1,000 of the emus.

Hello hello :)) new video is finished and i will be posting soon-
but random update:

-Open Sauce THIS WEEKEND! I am so pumped, it is my favorite convention i have ever been to- I hope to see some of you there- please come say hello if you see me :) I will draw u a doodle!! i'll make sure to post my little outfit each day on instagram

-Trying to jump right into making next video- i'm between a few topics, but i have been feeling very NOSTALGIC and it's likely going to be about something within that genre- i'm between a general coverage of nostalgic THINGS, or zooming into a more specific nostalgic... THING. Little love letter on THING! - sometimes i feel like i tackle a topic too large for the animation workload so i end up getting a little stuck in "uh-oh i bit off more than i can chew" world. I'll figure it out.

-I'm gonna be doing some streams soon. a mix of drawing (doodles, animation main video, animating shorts) and video game. :) I feel like i get a handful of comments from people who miss them- which is fair because usually they're short, so i'm just letting you know- idk hit bell or something if you need to. I do not understand that world very well, i am 28 in a month and my brain is actively un-developing so pls bare with while i test around with that. I miss yapping away on streams.

-i getting married in 2 weeks. i'm excited :)) then i will be MR. GingerPale. (instead of MR. GingerPale)

-saw a skunk on my bike ride the other day. they got big bum and little heads. very cute. would recommend finding a skunk. not even stinky- this time. When i was younger some skunks moved in under our house and my sister (who's room was in the basement- the stinkiest part of the house) ended up staying in my room for many months. but the bike-ride skunk was chill. no stinky.

-cleaned my office, feeling productive. this is rare enough that it is worth announcing.
