So I watched Scream 7 yesterday (didn't wrote the post yesterday cuz it was too late for me)

Holy shit that's bad, that is so bad, I genuinely expected Stu Macher to come back, I knew the chances were low but I at least hoped for Leslie (Stu's sister) to be in there under a fake identity, but no
Killers are by far the worst in the entire franchise, just 3 background characters that didn't even get much scenes: Sid's neighbor Jessica, a random employee Marco, and a Jason Carvey knockoff Karl (just stronger)
And by far those are the worst killers I've seen so far, the reveal was the worst part of the movie, I didn't even understand their motives, I had to ask my friend, and when I did, that's by far the weakest motive I've seen so far, just simple obsession (Jessica); other 2 literally have no motive at all, even Jason has a motive in Scream 6, tbh even Charlie's crappy motive is better than whatever this was.

Character development also kinda sucks, I legit forgot who that Chloe girl was right after watching the movie cuz she didn't even get enough screentime for ppl to understand her personality, relationships and stuff

Lucas's just a Randy knockoff with his obsession with true crime instead of horror films, Mindy's better tbh, also boring asf, that's why when he died and turns out his mom Jessica killed him I wasn't even surprised or sad cuz the character's personality didn't manage to get to me fully

Ben's literally Derek from Scream 2 but worse in every aspect, copies Billy Loomis so much and it's so bad, even the finger gesture, and he doesn't even gets a role in the film, yeah he's a potential suspect like Billy but c'mon we already had 2 boyfriend killers (Billy Loomis and Richie Kirsch) it gets kinda obvious third time if they'll made him the killer, but he just copied Derek by dying, and it wasn't even tragic

If they bring back Mark in Scream 8, he'll literally he new Dewey, not like I'm against it but he'll be way worse than him, Mark's the kind of character who I can't call bad but can't call good, he's just something in the middle

Others are pretty much fine, Sid's good, Tatum's fine, Chad & Mindy are also good, Gale didn't get punched in the face in that one btw, that's an achievement!

I know someone likes that film and I'm really glad someone does! For me? It could've been way better than it is

And I have high hopes for Scream 8 (if they'll ever make it) and if they do, I rly want them to either bring back old killers (Stu Macher or Jill Roberts, even though I don't like Jill that much I still would be amazed to see her back)
Or they could finally remember that Stu Macher has a sister and add her in the 8th movie under a fake identity so we can't even think that's she's Stu's sister
