The Charlotte Chess Center, founded in March of 2014, serves as a place where members of all ages and skill levels can congregate and enjoy the royal game of chess. The CCC has locations in North and South Charlotte.
The CCC serves as an educational hub for chess in the Charlotte area by offering camps, lectures, and a number of other special events year-round. Some of these events include weekly rated games, weekend tournaments, and classes hosted by our resident masters.
If you are interested in partnering with us and helping future generations develop their critical thinking skills through this beautiful game, then please reach out to us at info@charlottechesscenter.org

Today is Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to giving back to those who need assistance and to initiatives that spark positive change.
In light of Giving Tuesday, we're asking you to join us in the memory of GM Daniel Naroditsky by supporting the Naroditsky Memorial Fund. This fund was created by the Charlotte Chess Center Foundation, a nonprofit 501c3, to help grow the chess community in ways that Daniel hoped to see: by creating an annual over-the-board blitz/rapid tournament attracting the top elite as well as club level players, and by creating a fellowship to nurture promising young American chess players.
So many of us have been touched by Danya's kindness, his generosity, his patience, and his understanding. If his videos made you a better player, or if his coaching improved your child's chess, or if you appreciated his "punny" verbosity, we hope you'll consider honoring him with a donation to an initiative supported by his friends and family.

We are sharing an important conversation today: our first podcast interview since the passing of Daniel Naroditsky, a beloved friend, colleague, and part of the CCC family.
In this interview, CCC Founder Peter Giannatos speaks openly about his friendship with Daniel and the memorial endowment the Charlotte Chess Center Foundation is leading in his honor. It’s a heartfelt discussion about Daniel’s impact, both personally and within the chess community.
We hope listeners find clarity, reflection, and inspiration in the conversation, and that it helps the chess community move toward understanding and peace.

Daniel’s life reminds us that chess is not just about moves on a board, it’s about mentorship, community, and the ways we lift each other up. Through these initiatives, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire generations of players to come.
