実家の片付けをしていたら古い写真が出てきました。
これは約40年前、京都の鴨川沿いを走る京阪特急です。右端に写っているのは四条大橋で、道幅の広い四条通と京阪電車の線路が踏切で交差していました。今は京阪電車は地下を走っており、地上の線路のあったところは川端通という車道になっています。
いつか同じ場所から京都の風景を撮影してこの写真と並べてみたいと思っていますが、今の京都はオーバーツーリズムがひどくてなかなか足が向きません。京都は生まれた場所なので用事で行くこともあるのですが、人混みを見るとすぐに帰りたくなります。京都の空気が私が子供のころの京都と最も似ていたのは、コロナ禍の時期でした。大変皮肉なことです。
