Asetek set for takeover!

Last week, Asetek announced it had received a takeover offer from a Chinese electronics company.

Although best-known for its hardware cooling products, Astek’s sim racing brand - Asetek Racing (formerly known as Asetek Simports) - will be included as part of the deal if approved by shareholders.

Aligning itself with a Chinese manufacturer could prove to be a masterstroke for the business, allowing Asetek to compete better with the likes of Moza, Simagic and Conspit on price. If the new owners decide to continue in the sim racing industry, that is.

New car and stage teasers for AC Rally!

Zonca revealed a new car that’s on the way to AC Rally: the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. Although this won’t arrive in the game’s December update, it is almost certainly going to be made available early in 2026.

Also on the way is a new environment, which Zonca described as a ‘wintry mountain road’, featuring changeable conditions between its start and finish, which sounds awfully like a stage from the Monte Carlo Rally.

Assetto Corsa Rally to receive monthly updates in Early Access!

A live Q&A with Assetto Corsa Rally’s Game Director Irvin Zonca revealed several key pieces of information about the future of Supernova Game Studios’ title.

The biggest announcement was that AC Rally will receive monthly updates throughout its Early Access period, which will include new cars, stages and game modes, as well as frequent bug fixes.

The game’s December update will focus on fixing the game’s controller issues, but there’s hope for a bigger Christmas treat, too.

Currently, Lando is winning the world championship. However if Max overtakes you and you finish ahead of Lando, Max wins the championship with Red Bull.

Things are on a knife edge, but you receive the call over the radio you’ve been half expecting.

McLaren want to sow this up, and the guaranteed way is for you to drop behind Lando now. That means also giving up positions to Max and Kimi too.

Final cars revealed for Gran Turismo 7’s Spec III update!

The final two cars for Gran Turismo 7’s mammoth Spec III update have been revealed, with the mighty first-gen Fiat Panda and the modern Ferrari 296 GTB looking the most likely candidates for release on 4th December.

The huge free update is set to include cars like the Renault Espace F1, Mitsubishi FTO Version R Aero Series and the Polestar 5, plus Grand Prix venues Yas Marina Circuit and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve.

Spec III will also land at the same time as GT7’s first paid-for DLC pack, the Power Pack, making December a huge month for the game.

👉 You're Oscar Piastri in this scenario. It's lap 56 in Abu Dhabi, and you've been pressuring Max Verstappen in P1. Max, with his tyres on the ragged edge as he tries desperately to win the championship, uncharacteristically loses the rear end on traction and starts spinning towards the apex.

In a split second, you have two choices (it's too late to avoid making contact with a car):

💡 OPTION A: You turn left towards the apex, hit Max, but save Lando, who wins the championship.

💡 OPTION B: You instinctively avoid Max, by turning right, not knowing Lando won't be able to avoid you. You and Lando both break your suspension and DNF, whilst Max recovers his spin, wins the race, and wins the F1 Drivers Championship.

New Carmageddon on the horizon!

In a completely random turn of events, a new Carmageddon game was revealed.

Apparently called Carmageddon: Rogue Shift, the new game is thought to be a vehicular combat game, although it’s unclear whether it will feature the series’ notorious pedestrian-based gore.

Surprisingly developed by 34BigThings, more famous for developing the futuristic WipeOut-aping Redout series, more information about the reboot will be revealed in December.
