My name is Bryce Funk. I run a small production company called High Sierra Collective. We focus on documentary style storytelling. I upload videos on documentary filmmaking, the creative process, and other filmmaking related topics every week.
What a day! We did quite a few micro-interviews this day out at Wallace. Stoked to be releasing our conversation with Bobby! Check it out on the nameless project channel - premiering at noon today.
Today has been a day of audio! Getting prepped for a spec shoot tomorrow! The more I’ve gotten into this field, the more important I find studio to be. And it’s fun! I’ll be doing a behind the scenes video soon!
Ran a test of the streaming software today. Had a few technical glitches, but the encoder worked without any issues. Thanks everyone who tuned in! (Working on fixing the audio drift now!)
IT'S HERE! These guys worked so hard to pull this project off. These lyrics are so deep and raw. Beautiful location to shoot in. Thank you Ryan Unger for help with grip and AC work on this one. Great job Motion and Kdubb. You guys knocked it out of the park! Keep your eyes out. These kids are going places.
Every time I'm given the opportunity to come along side young artists to help them showcase their work, I am reminded how dedicated, professional, and creative people can be. Truly, I'm blown away by the work ethic of these kids - they pulled off releasing two music videos in the same week.
This is trailer 1 for "Save Me"; the guys wrapped up this song last week and wanted to squeeze in another video to drop two new tracks for an upcoming performance. Monday was the only day we had to film and the final edit needed to be done by Wednesday - same week. We pulled it off. The guys showed up early, ready to work, they had a vision, and they saw it through. Rough cut was done Tuesday morning and the final Wednesday afternoon.
The lyrics are deep and restorative. truly it's an honor to come alongside these kids, hear their stories, and see where these projects are taking them.
Huge thanks to Ryan Unger for being the key grip and AC. Special thanks to the mental health professionals working behind the scenes (and producing the beats), as well as a generous property owner for letting us use this incredible space.
While I generally strive to cut interviews down to their shortest length without jeopardizing the integrity of the narrative, I left Dan's interview largely in tact. He is such an engaging storyteller; I simply could not bring my self to trim any of the moments I would usually find myself trimming.
