A batch of 316LVM medical stainless steel plate (UNS S31673 / 1.4441 / X2CrNiMo18-14-3) fresh off the line today.
"316L" is a low-carbon austenitic stainless; "VM" stands for vacuum melted — vacuum metallurgy sharply lowers inclusions and raises purity and batch consistency, giving better fatigue life and corrosion resistance. It meets ASTM F138/F139 and ISO 5832-1 implant standards and is widely used for bone plates, screws and spinal fixation, plus surgical instruments.

Here, workers align and straighten bundles of titanium bars and move them together with the overhead crane; nearby sit sponge-titanium raw material and coils of titanium wire. These everyday motions rest on years of experience, focus and teamwork — straightness, neat sorting and safe handling all come down to people.

A look at how small-diameter titanium bars are processed. Each thin rod runs through roller straighteners, with tight control over straightness, diameter tolerance (h6–h9) and surface finish — ready for downstream CNC and precision parts.
Today we're running two common Ti-6Al-4V grades:
· Grade 5 (TC4): the most widely used α+β titanium alloy — high strength, corrosion-resistant, low density.
· ELI Grade 23: the extra-low-interstitial version with higher toughness and purity, common in medical implants.

This orthopedic internal-fixation instrument set was made by our partner client using materials we supplied — sharing it here.
The set includes: star drivers (T2.7–T4.3), hex drivers (SW1.5–SW5.0), graduated drills and taps, T-handles, a mallet and a rongeur.

This is a real customer case about 630 stainless steel (17-4PH / UNS S17400).
The customer required:
3-meter-long 630 stainless steel bars;
Aging treatment before delivery;
A specific hardness requirement.
However, after learning that the customer uses Swiss-type CNC machining, we reviewed the material condition again.

Why we did not directly recommend aged 630 material;
Why aged 17-4PH can increase machining difficulty;
Why long-length bars require special consideration after heat treatment;
Why customer-controlled aging can provide better hardness adjustment.
