2. Complicated
3. Unpredictable

And we've only just got going! 

We started digging our foundations a month ago, and then disaster struck.

The first time I came here was autumn 2011.

And I distinctly remember what Fraser said to me...

The 3k trees he'd planted were about knee-high at the time. The few leaves they had had fallen to the floor, leaving us with thousands of twigs hiding in tree guards.

But I remember him turning to me and saying,

'One day the ground will be completely covered with leaves, and we won't be able to see the grass'

It seemed crazy at the time, but when I went for a walk this morning it struck me that we have reached that point.

How lucky I am that he decided to plant all these trees, all those years ago.
