For years I thought changing lenses was about changing my photography. From the 50mm to the 85mm, from wider lenses to smaller cameras, each focal length taught me something different about composition, storytelling and the way I see the world.
But after all these years, I realised the greatest change was never the lens itself. It was me.
This is one of the most personal videos I have made about photography, focal lengths, introversion, growth and the strange way cameras can slowly shape who we become.
I was in the mood to share some of my recent shots today. So here they are. How is everybody doing? Feel free to share your photos in the community tab! Let's see what everyone is producing!
I got the camera, used it properly, and made a video not just about specs, but about why a small camera like this can sometimes matter more than bigger, more capable systems.
If the GR IV is on your mind, or if youâve ever wondered why so many photographers love the GR series, come and join the conversation in the comments
Guys, seriously⊠there is nothing better than sitting down and reading your comments. Whether they are deep, thoughtful and descriptive, or simply funny and lighthearted, they realy make my day.
Thank you for being here, for taking the time to watch, and for adding your voice to this community. What we are building here means a lot to me, and I never take it for granted. đđ
I brought back some of the classics for a simple reason. To talk about light!
Most photographers try to improve composition through rules⊠while missing one of the most powerful tools in photography: light. It can turn an ordinary scene into something unforgettable. Iâve just released a new video showing exactly how to use it. Come watch it.
Here is a complicated discussion...Letâs see if we can figure it out! We talk a lot about composition and rules⊠but what is the ONE thing that has the greatest impact on a photo?
The debate between 50mm and 85mm is usually reduced to bokeh, compression, and sharpness⊠but I believe the real difference runs much deeper than that.
One keeps you inside the scene. The other pulls you back from it.
In this new video, I explore how these two focal lengths change not only the image you make but also the way you experience the world while making it.
If youâve ever wondered whether youâre more of a 50mm or an 85mm photographer⊠this one is for you.
Most of us reach a point where our photos look âniceâ⊠but somehow still feel empty. I was stuck there for years. I thought it was my gear, my settings, my editingâŠbut it wasnât. It was something much simpler.
I made this video to share what finally changed everything for me.
I used to think photography was about getting everything ârightâ⊠perfect composition, balance, control.
But the more I chased that, the more I realised I was missing what actually matters.
This video is about 5 (hard) lessons the 35mm lens forced me to learn. Lessons, not about technique, but about how we see, feel, and understand why we take photos in the first place.
