I've been planning a stereo setup for a while now to play my CDs and vinyl, listen to the radio, and just play around to learn something new. I'm making a project out of it, basically. I found a good budget amp/receiver at a pawn shop that I've been eyeing in basically new condition for a steal, so that sort of kick-started the project. I've been researching good starter turntables, stereo speakers, accessories, etc., and I must say, I wish I were better at just pulling the trigger and not thinking about things bc this is lowkey depressing. Like I know I should just go find some dirt cheap second-hand speakers and a turntable and just fix up what I need and go from there bc I'm new to this (no way in hell I'm buying new), but I'm overthinking the ever-loving hell out of it, and I know that and I am in a never ending cycle of overthinking, thinking I have the confidence to buy something, then second guessing myself and starting over from scratch.

Anyways I'm really loving this project so far. It has been fun and I'm learning a lot about audio-related things, would recommend

Finished a final paper for a class today, was only 6 pages but required a lot of research. Tomorrow I shall start my 8 page paper for another class (it’s due Thursday afternoon). The gates of hell have opened, time to survive until winter break.
