Question for those that find themselves 'up to the elbow ' in a server regularly - How often does the system you use in your personal life (a DIY machine, a turnkey like a Synology or QNAP, or ancient eBay gold mind find) influence the system you recommend professionally? The answer seems pretty obviously 'yes' to me - but in reality, I know plenty of technicians, Support, System integrators and homelabbers who will widely install TrueNAS systems regularly, but their homelife is on a easy peasey setup and forget turnkey (and visa versa!). So *as I wrestle things back to the subject at hand*, which of the following best describes you:

My Minisforum MS-R1 Review is now live, and I have rarely been so confused by a device! As the tech industry to trying to make efficiency gains left, right and centre, I can definitely see an audience of developers and software engineers that would use this device to stay on the ball and keep their ops supported! But when you make comparisons between the MS-R1 and the likes of the MS-01, MS-A2 and more - the lines get suuuuuuuuuuuuuper blurry in terms of what this vs an x86 system could do. MASSIVE NAS NEWS! ‪@Beelinkchannel‬ just effectively declared war on the rest of DIY NAS market! The ever popular Beelink ME Mini is going to see approximately 9 new NAS products in the next 12 months. The Beelink ME Mini will see a 5GbE and SODIMM upgraded model, but that's just the start, apparently. They will be a 10GbE version, a 9 M.2 NVMe version, a ME Pro, ME Pro S and ME Pro X hybrid storage version roll out and finally a ME Pro MAX version with the AI 395 Processor. Morning guys! Putting the feelers out to see who else is attending the QNAP event this Friday in London?
