The Bats and Banter
Sitanshu Kotak is a veteran domestic player, who played 130 matches for Saurashtra from 1992-2013. He averages 41.76 in First Class cricket, scoring 8061 runs, while hitting 15 centuries and 55 half-centuries.
His post-retirement career as a coach started with Saurashtra in 2014, where he performed the duties of a head coach. He served as an assistant coach for Gujarat Lions in 2016 and rose through the ranks to be appointed as the batting coach at the National Cricket Academy in 2019. He has been an employee of the NCA ever since.
Kotak was also the Head coach for a few India A tours and also assisted VVS Laxman whenever he took the responsibility of India Head Coach for a tour.
As reported by ESPNCricinfo, Sitanshu is set to join the India men's cricket set-up as batting coach from their next assignment, which is the T20Is against England, starting from 22 January 2025.

It's the birthday of the mighty Yuvraj Singh today. He was my favorite player (alongside Viru) while growing up.
That bat swing of his is still one of the most beautiful sights in our sport. And that swing was on full display against Stuart Broad in that 2007 T20 WC, when Yuvraj hit Stuart Broad for 6 sixes. Relive the 6 sixes in this video.
