Argentina produced a clinical performance to beat India 5–3 in a thrilling encounter, despite a late fightback from the Indian team.

India found themselves under early pressure after conceding two goals inside the opening seven minutes. Sukhjeet Singh pulled one back in the 10th minute, keeping India alive in the contest.

Argentina then extended their advantage in the second half, but India never stopped fighting. Sukhjeet Singh scored his second goal in the 58th minute, followed by Hardik Singh’s goal just a minute later.

The comeback came too late, as Argentina held on to secure a 5–3 victory and knock India out of the World Cup.
