8th Pay Commission Report by December 2026, Implementation from March/April 2027: Dr. Manjeet Singh Patel
The Government has constituted the 8th Pay Commission to revise the salaries of Central Government employees. The Commission has been given a timeline of 18 months to submit its recommendations. Employee organizations are continuously holding meetings with the Commission to ensure an early submission of the report.
According to Dr. Manjeet Singh Patel, National President of AINPSEF, discussions with the Pay Commission have received a positive response. He stated that the report is expected by December 2026, and the 8th Pay Commission may be implemented from March or April 2027.
Key Highlights
The minimum salary of employees is expected to be between ₹50,000 and ₹60,000.
Employees may receive interim relief before the final implementation.
The existing 60% DA/DR is expected to be merged into the revised pay structure.
