Some people can’t follow cooking recipes.

Look… I’m not naming anyone :-)

They read it. Look at the ingredients. Then immediately start improvising.

"Wait, fish sauce AND soy sauce? That's redundant. I'll just use soy sauce."

"Three cloves of garlic? That's not enough. Let's do six."

"Simmer for 40 minutes? Nah, I'll just crank the heat and do it in 10."

Twenty minutes later they're staring at this burnt, salty mess thinking... "Why doesn't mine taste like the restaurant?"

Meanwhile, the person who just followed the recipe exactly?

They’ve got a decent tasting dish every single time.

I’m curious…
