EXCLUSIVE: Channel 4 is piloting a celebrity prank show on linear that emerged via its YouTube channel.

Tapped Out Prank Stars is a supercharged version of the format that originated on Channel 4.0, with rapper ArrDee, comedian Fatiha El-Ghorri and JLS singer Aston Merrygold set to take on extreme challenges watched by a studio audience.

The move marks the first time a Channel 4 YouTube format has transferred to linear and the pilot will likely air around Christmas.

In Tapped Out, which is hosted by Nella Rose and has featured the likes of Love Island star Chloe Burrows, celebs are pushed to their limits with tricky prank challenges that feature chaotic twists. The longer they can last before deciding to “Tap Out,” the better they do, as the celeb competitor who endures the most time in the increasingly embarrassing tasks thrown at them will be crowned champion. The loser will face one final forfeit.

"ICC Issues Arrest Warrant for Netanyahu Over Alleged Gaza War Crimes ⚖️🚨"

ICC issues arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu for alleged Gaza war crimes
Warrants for Israeli PM and former defence minister put them at risk of detention if they go to some other countries

Middle East crisis – live updates
The international criminal court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, the country’s former defence minister Yoav Gallant and the Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif for alleged war crimes relating to the Gaza war.

It is the first time that leaders of a democracy and western-aligned state have been charged by the court, in the most momentous decision of its 22-year history.

Netanyahu and Gallant are at risk of arrest if they travel to any of the 124 countries that signed the Rome statute establishing the court. Israel claims to have killed Deif in an airstrike in July, but the court’s pre-trial chamber said it would “continue to gather information” to confirm his death.

The chamber ruled that there were reasonable grounds to believe Netanyahu and Gallant bore criminal responsibility as co-perpetrators for “the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts”.

The three-judge panel also said it had found reasonable grounds to believe Deif was responsible for crimes against humanity and war crimes including murder, torture, rape and hostage taking relating to the Hamas attack on Israel on 7 October 2023 in which fighters killed more than 1,200 people, mostly Israeli civilians, and kidnapped 250.

Netanyahu’s office denounced the chamber’s decision as “antisemitic”.

“Israel utterly rejects the false and absurd charges of the international criminal court, a biased and discriminatory political body,” the office said in a statement, adding that “no war is more just than the war Israel has been waging in Gaza”.

The statement pointed to an investigation into accusations of sexual misconduct against the ICC prosecutor Karim Khan who sought the charges against the three men in May. Khan, 54, has denied the allegations and said he will cooperate with the investigation.

The US national security council issued a statement “fundamentally” rejecting the court’s decision. “We remain deeply concerned by the prosecutor’s rush to seek arrest warrants and the troubling process errors that led to this decision,” the statement said, without any detail of the alleged errors.

“The United States has been clear that the ICC does not have jurisdiction over this matter. In coordination with partners, including Israel, we are discussing next steps.”

The US has previously welcomed ICC war crimes warrants against Vladimir Putin and other Russian officials for atrocities committed in Ukraine, exposing the Biden administration to accusations of double standards from many UN members, particularly from the global south.

Netanyahu can expect more resounding support from the incoming Donald Trump administration. During his first term, in 2020, Trump imposed US sanctions on the ICC, aimed at court officials and their families. The then secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, made clear the sanctions were imposed because the ICC had begun investigating the actions of the US and its allies in Afghanistan, as well as Israeli military operations in the occupied territories.

The panel said the full version of the warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant were secret “in order to protect witnesses and to safeguard the conduct of the investigations”, but the judges released much of their reasoning. This focused on the obstruction of the supply of humanitarian aid into Gaza, which it judged to be deliberate.

“The chamber considered that there are reasonable grounds to believe that both individuals intentionally and knowingly deprived the civilian population in Gaza of objects indispensable to their survival, including food, water, and medicine and medical supplies, as well as fuel and electricity,” the written ruling said..

"Big News! Albania and Montenegro Join the Single Euro Payments Area 🇦🇱🇲🇪💶"

European Commission welcomes inclusion of Albania and Montenegro in the Single Euro Payments Area
Today, Montenegro and Albania advanced on their European integration path by becoming the first-ever enlargement countries to join the geographical scope of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) following the green light by the European Payments Council (EPC). This is a practical example of the impact of the Growth Plan, an EU initiative to accelerate the socio-economic integration of the Western Balkans into the EU, including through progressive access to certain areas of the EU single market based on alignment with the EU acquis Communautaire.

As a result of the European Payments Council decision, the payment service providers of these two countries will have the possibility to adhere to the various SEPA schemes, which is part of a separate process managed by the EPC.

This step paves the way to facilitate financial transfers in euro and reduce the cost of these transactions between the two countries and other SEPA members. The European Commission, through a project funded under the IPA instrument and implemented by the World Bank, will continue to support the preparation of Montenegro and Albania’s payments service providers, as well as the other Western Balkan countries aiming to join the geographical scope of SEPA in the near future.

Background
The European Payments Council (EPC) is an independent, international not-for-profit association formed of 79 members who are payment service providers (PSPs) or associations of PSPs. The EPC was created in 2002 by the European banking industry to develop European instruments for electronic euro payments. Today, close to 4000 banks and other payment service providers participate in SEPA schemes.

Since then, in close dialogue with the stakeholder community, the EPC has developed, among other things, “schemes”, such as the SEPA Credit Transfer, the SEPA Instant Credit Transfer, the SEPA Direct Debit (SDD) Core and the SDD Business-to-Business payment schemes. These schemes, which facilitate over 50 billion transactions in 36 countries each year, are regularly updated and enhanced by the EPC to help realise easy cross-border euro payments.
