Do you really have to marry your phuppo ki beti?
Is cousin marriage actually encouraged in Islam, or has that just become cultural pressure dressed up as religion?
The answer might surprise you.

Does God Love Me?
A depressed heart always asks the same question. Does He even love me? And if He does, how am I supposed to know it? Are these challenges part of His love, or proof that He has left me?
Even the Awliya felt this abandonment. Even the Prophet ﷺ went through a silence from the heavens that caused him real pain, until Allah answered him directly: "Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He detested you."
If the Prophet ﷺ needed that assurance, so do you. And so do I.
I wrote this for your situation and for mine.

He Killed the Best of Men. Then He Killed the Worst.
At the Battle of Uhud, Wahshi رضي الله عنه killed Hamza رضي الله عنه , the Prophet's ﷺ beloved uncle and the Lion of Allah.
Years later, Wahshi رضي الله عنه accepted Islam. The Prophet ﷺ forgave him completely, but asked one thing of him: "Can you hide your face from me?" Not out of hatred, but because seeing him brought back the grief of losing Hamza ؓ.
That request stayed with Wahshi رضي الله عنه . He carried the weight of it and wanted to redeem himself.
His chance came at the Battle of Yamama, against Musaylimah, the false prophet. The same spear, the same skill, now used in the cause of Allah. In his own words:
"I killed the best of men after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. And now, I have killed the worst of men."

The Man Allah Called Imam.
Allah created everyone. Among them are wrongdoers. Among them are good people who try but still fall short. And then there is Ibrahim ﷺ.
Not because he had an easy life. Not because he was born into faith. His own father carved idols with his hands. He was thrown into a fire for speaking the truth. He was tested in ways most of us cannot imagine.
And yet Allah did not just reward him. Allah called him Imam of all mankind. And in the Quran, Allah sent His own Salaam upon him directly.
"سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ"
Salaamun ala Ibrahim. (37:109)
What did he face, and what did he do with it, that earned him this?

When Your Own Father Becomes the Test.
Imagine speaking to someone with the utmost respect, and the reply you get is:
"If you do not stop, I will surely stone you." (Surah Maryam 19:46)
Now imagine that person is your father.
This is what Ibrahim ﷺ faced. And his response was not anger. Not argument. Just:
"سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكَ"
Peace be upon you.
Many of us struggle with this exact question today. Where does respect for parents end and standing for truth begin?
Ibrahim ﷺ showed us that line. Read about how he handled it.

The Man Who Understood Knowledge Like No One Else.
Hazrat Ali ؓ said:
"العلمُ خيرٌ من المالِ؛ العلمُ يَحرُسُك وأنتَ تَحرُسُ المالَ"
"Knowledge is better than wealth. Knowledge guards you, while you guard wealth."
Wealth needs protection. It can be stolen, lost, or taken from you overnight.
But knowledge? The more you give it away, the more it grows. It walks with you, defends you, and outlives you.
Hazrat Ali ؓ spent his life proving this. Read his most powerful quotes on life, knowledge, patience, and character.

Leadership Lesson from the Battle of Uhud
True leadership isn't tested when plans work—it is tested when things fall apart.
Before the Battle of Uhud, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ set aside his personal preference to accept the majority’s decision. Later, when a critical mistake by the archers led to heavy losses, he didn’t blame, humiliate, or exclude them. Instead, he forgave them, prayed for them, and continued to consult them in key matters.
The ultimate lesson? One mistake should never erase a person’s value, and failure is never an excuse to abandon mercy, trust, and consultation.
