the name's Jay, a plain average 18-year-old weather radio/EAS enthusiast from both Charlotte & Concord, North Carolina, uploading NOAA Weather Radio related content (as one does) on this small channel bubble of mine, with a variety of content including broadcast cycles, EAS alerts, weather products, NWR DXes, whatever else that goes through the airwaves of NWR that i get are all on here

if you’re curious on the consistency of my channel (if you even were), i don’t have a schedule on my uploads so i just upload randomly whenever's the chance

i first got introduced to weather radios/EAS alerts, along with weather in general, since 2/6/2020, when there was a severe weather event (ENH risk) in my area that got me into them as an interest, and here i am to share it all with you here!

i currently own 18 weather radios but expect my RadioShack 12-254 to be the radio you'll see the most cause im a simper for it lol

(formerly "JayGSPWXEAS")
and yeah that’s all you need to know here i guess

good news…i’ve FINALLY cleared through a good chunk of my older backlogged videos! though with that being said, i do have select EAS severe weather compilations taken from July-August 2024 that will be a work-in-progress going forward...but otherwise, i can finally go on with uploading my newer videos again! coming december 13th… 👍🔥🎉

so it's been a while since i've posted my announcement that my channel would be in a stage for the remainder of 2025 where i would be uploading my "backlogged" videos, but along with those, i will be re-releasing my Tropical Cyclone Idalia (2023) "mini" alert compilation by tomorrow, Nov. 8th!

i did a previous upload of it back in 2023, but the reason i am re-releasing it again was because while i also uploaded half of the few videos of select NWR stations reading products for Idalia, there was also the other batch of those videos that i full-on forgot to upload, so all those will be uploaded (and for some, re-released) on the 8th alongside the alert compilation. as a result, any previous uploads related to Idalia in 2023 will be put on Unlisted.

as for the compilation itself (which is only 4 alerts, by the way), it'll basically be the same style as the previous upload, but with different "modernized" editing, along with an added 2-minute intro summary of what/where/when/how Idalia was, as i also do for my other tropical-event EAS compilations (which i now have a playlist of here: www.youtube.com/playlist?list... ).

but yeah, hopefully the sooner i get these videos out along with my other archived videos all throughout 2025, the sooner i can get to uploading "newer" videos again!👍🏽👍🏽

hey, so for the next couple of weeks starting next week, you’ll be seeing my channel filled with my “backlogged” videos going as far back as 2021-2022 (some that were recorded before i even had a channel). this will all consist primarily of any weather products and select alerts that i recorded of select NOAA Weather Radio transmitters, that i haven’t uploaded sooner, since i had (and have) so many videos to handle (since i have a whole catalog of them) to the point where i forgot about them. additionally, going on with any of my "later" videos filmed in mid-2024, there will also be severe weather EAS compilations coming out as well. each and every video will be uploaded chronologically as i go on each video.

all of this is in an effort to (hopefully) have my channel free of any "backlogged" videos through the end of 2025, and keep my channel "fresh" with anything new i upload thereafter. well, this is where you’ll get to see them all, coming soon…

(side note: this announcement for my backlogged videos will also serve as my break from uploading/filming any "newer" videos. however, for any of those "newer" videos that are filmed on or after this post that i feel should be uploaded as soon as possible, they will be uploaded as soon as it is needed, like a weather radio collection update or an unusual civil/amber alert on NWR)

not related to any youtube stuff, but i'm glad to announce, that in collaboration with me and ‪‪@the_fox_ko4fx‬ ‬ since 2024, we have a google drive folder of approx. 1.0k+ CRS-era NOAA Weather Radio audio files! (drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ADyB0wB8_RL4XS_OQO…)

this is a folder that we both created as a way to save as many CRS-era NOAA Weather Radio audio clips as we could find, even years after it got replaced by the current-day BMH system.

now, i am aware that not everything of what i've found online has been put into the folder, so i'll gradually be adding more and more files of whatever i find. otherwise, enjoy, and happy listening! 👍🏽👍🏽

(any uploaders of said content will be credited in a text document)

so as i've recently uploaded my Tropical Storm Chantal alert compilation, this is a re-upload of that same video for a small "bug" that i had unknowingly left in on the previous upload (in which, as of typing this, is temporarily unlisted). aside from that though, i'd appreciate it if you could see it! 👍🏽 (especially for all the time i put into it)

as i've got just 2 more numbers till i hit 300 subs, my compilation for Tropical Storm Chantal is gonna be premiering live on Tuesday, August 12th (4:20 PM EDT / 3:20 PM CDT)!

(this was why i haven’t been uploading videos for 9 days)

alright so, this is just yet another one of my announcements that i would make if i were to have been on vacation for NWR captures, but between tomorrow (Sun, June 29th) to Mon. June 30th, expect a flow of NWR capture videos that i'm going to be uploading as part of my 4-day trip (5/23 - 5/26) from Myrtle Beach SC! this includes some broadcast cycles (one of them being a first-ever one uploaded online), some DXes, and even a "special" EAS alert (that i myself don't get very often)!
