Hi, I’m Michelle - you can also call me “Shell” like a seashell 🐚 I do actually live by the sea🌊 I’m sooooo close to being Shell sells shells by the seashore.
I started teaching guitar back in 2009 for fun and just to earn a little cash on the side teaching kids in my town while I was in college, and over time, it became my full-time job online. I teach beginner/intermediate guitar lessons here on YouTube because I have a passion for both music and for helping people.
Guitar Goddess is that indescribable feeling I get whenever I play my guitar. I feel beautiful, confident & positive. It's unlike anything else. I feel like it's something other guitarists can relate to. Guitar Goddess does not define my skills or my playing style and I don't think the name I chose is un-deserving in any way. In my opinion, every female guitarist should be able to call herself a "Guitar Goddess" no matter what style of music she plays or how experienced she is.

Happy August - I hope your air is salty and your doors are rusty 🌊
Soooo for this month, we are OBVIOUSLY learning “august” because it would be an absolute crime not to.
On that note, the photo above is from me filming the lesson in salty air on the beach because it just felt like the right way to celebrate and do this lesson!
Annnnd I thought - why not teach the entire teenage love triangle this month in order from august to betty to cardigan - exactly how Taylor would play them?
That leaves us one more lesson for the last week of August, which I desperately need your help with.
I’ve picked a few songs across the eras and I’m leaving it all up to you.
Should we stay entirely folklorian or have a random era?
