Hi my friends, I hope you’ve all had a great weekend 💖 A few weeks ago, Anthony and I finally got to check out the Mayan Museum in Cancun ​⁠(Museo Maya de Cancun.)

Located in Cancun’s #hotelzone it’s a lovely activity if you’re in the Cancun or Playa del Carmen area. It’s free for residents on Sundays and only 100 pesos (about 5 USD) per person on other days. They have free parking onsite and there’s a lovely vegan restaurant across the street called The Pink Coconut.

Great family friendly activity. Recommended ☺️💖👍⭐️

Viva Mexico! 🇲🇽 🎉 Today Mexico celebrates its Independence. The events of this day in the year 1810 started Mexico’s War of Independence from Spanish rule, a war that finally concluded in 1821 with Mexico gaining its independence. In my experience of 5 years of living in Mexico so far, and even in my experience meeting Mexican people in Canada, Mexican people are very patriotic and proud of their country. The celebration of Mexico’s independence is a big deal in Mexico every year, as you can see in this brief video. The celebrations start on the night of the 15th and continue on the 16th with a massive military parade. This year is the first time in the country’s 200+ year history that a woman president gave the famous Viva Mexico! cry for independence. It was beautiful and inspiring to see.
