This long, testing winter project to build a Brian May Deacy amplifier replica is nearing completion. The scratch build replica 1960s vintage loudspeaker cabinet is finished and only final assembly remains. Part 3 in the YouTube video series should be out at the weekend. 😀👍🏻
Progress update on part 3 of the Brian May Deacy amp build: the cabinet panels are veneered, stained, varnished and glued up (apart from the front face strips).
I need to cover the front baffle with the Vynair, glue in the softwood battens then mount the loudspeakers and circuit board. I'm aiming to publish the completed video by the end of February.

Treble boosters sure do come in some nice flavours and they colour your #guitar tone in subtly different ways. Filming for a #BrianMay @brianmayforreal #treblebooster YouTube video continues. Enthusiasts know they're an essential #guitareffect for a #RedSpecial #RedSpecialguitar fitted with #TriSonic #pickups

And so filming for a #BrianMay #treblebooster extravaganza video begins. Why do you need one? What different flavours are there? How do they work? How do I build my own? Which is the best? 🤔 All these questions will be answered in a few weeks. #dsgb #DougShortGuitarBlog #amateurluthier #guitareffects #effectspedals #stompbox dsgb.net/
