Wichita Falls native Ali Holder has been part of Austin’s music scene since moving here in 2010, building a sound that moves between indie folk, outlaw country and Gothic Americana. Over two albums and two EPs, she has earned praise as one of Austin’s brightest songwriters and was selected as a 2026 Folk Alliance International Official Showcase Artist. Her latest EP *Garden of the Underworld* is out now.

The Hole Story was recorded live at the legendary Hole in the Wall in Austin, Texas.

Kevin Russell has had a few musical chapters, from The Picket Line Coyotes to The Gourds to Shinyribs. Kevin and his fellow musicians were staples at Hole in the Wall in the 90s and his band The Gourds’ regular gig got so packed to they raised the cover from $5 to $7 to mitigate some of the crowd, a move that caused a bit of controversy and accusations of being “capitalists pigs.”

Austin singer-songwriter Barb—born Barbara Klavin—pairs emotionally candid lyrics with a high-energy mix of indie rock, pop and punk. A former Division I rower who only began playing guitar a few years ago, she has quickly become one of the city’s rising artists, earning a spot on Austin Monthly’s list of 25 must-see local acts at SXSW 2025. Her four-song EP, *lily*, arrived in February and follows a run of increasingly bold singles, including “til it bites” and “if you wanted to.”
