Hey guys, I'm currently moving the studio (had to start earlier than expected), so no Live Mixing today. We'll be back next week with a brand new set up. Remember, if you have any mixing suggestions, or coil build suggestions, head over to facebook.com/groups/diyordievaping and let me know!

Hey Guys, I'm out of town so no Live Mixing this week. But will be returning Monday night where I want to go over "Recipe Construction" as a topic as well as recipe critiques and then following up next Friday with Live Mixing. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Also if you have recipes you want reviewed, please head over to the Facebook Group to post your recipes

If you haven't seen the latest Live Mixing episodes, make sure to check out the replay and see how I came up with this awesome Cotton Candy Grape recipe (based on the real fruit).
The last two weeks have been so much fun in terms of going from research, to blueprint, to tweaking, to final product.
I think I'll be doing more recipe "journey's" like this in the future, as not only is it enjoyable, but offers a great way to see how a recipe can be conceived from start to finish.

There has been some discussion around the new VSO release episode where Noted tested the newly released Xtremes line. A lot of contention has been around the concentration used in testing. VSO Extremes have a recommended use of 0.25%, and even “1 drop in a 30ml”, because of the nature in how they’re produced. This is at odds with the much higher concentrations used by some of the members, going up to 3% with some flavors.
Generally, we aren’t given recommended ranges from flavoring manufactures, so we usually go off of the “5 percent rule”, relative flavor percentages, and experience to arrive at an average or best-case percentage to test at. In this specific case, the crew felt the recommended percentages they tried weren’t creating the best flavor, so they decided to use higher percentages. Something they’ve had success with before with other Xtreme flavors from VSO.
This however creates a bit of a mistrust in the analysis. Can you, or the MFG, trust someone’s review if they aren’t using concentrations recommended by the MFG? Also, can you really trust a review if the person reviewing is trying to cast the best light on the product possible? What should have been done was testing the flavorings at recommended percentages (along with any other percentages they feel could have been better), and given the review on those results. Whatever they may be.
In the spirit of accuracy I wanted to make this post and let you know we’ll be re-doing the Xtremes on the next episode.
I personally think Noted is a great (thankless) service that these guys work really hard on, and the last thing I want is for people to think their work is in any way diminished or untrustworthy.

So YouTube took down the second episode of Wake Up for "terms of service". Whatever, YouTube sucks. You can watch the replay on Facebook/Twitch/Twitter.
I also did a 3 hour show with Jenn Winstead, Phil Busardo and Dimitri Agrafiotis where we covered everything there is to know about getting started in DIY. Check it out

What should we mix for Live Mixing on Friday at 5pm est/2pm est? (I figured I should try to poll BEFORE the show)

Our friend Grimmgreen was a on panel for Spectrum with Dr. Jessica Sims from Regal Medical. On this panel, Dr Sims tries to justify her thinking in that vapers are similar to those who 'cut', or self-mutilate. This is easily one of the more egregious arguments I've heard about vaping. Overall though, Nick did a great job eloquently explaining what we all know to be true about vaping. Follow twitter.com/diyordievaping to stay updated on all this nonsense
