Yesterday we found out that we lost a living legend. Im not the biggest Dragon Ball fan but growing up I would watch Dragon Ball on toonami and play all the budokai games. Dragon ball always provided an immense sense of warmth and joy for everyone who watched it. Even though some people might not like Dragon Ball the contributions Toriyama sensei has made to this industry is undeniable. He has inspired thousands of dreamers and mangaka to pursue this medium of story telling. I cannot imagine manga being where it is today without Dragon Ball. If it wasn’t for Toriyama we wouldnt have Naruto or One Piece and countless other mangas. The amount of lives Toriyama has changed is insane to think about. Seeing how something as simple as a comic can have profound impacts on peoples lives is amazing. Knowing your work could console and help people who have lost hope is the greatest gift any author can receive. Im glad Toriyama knew just how much he was loved and how thankful people are for him even existing. Rest in power Akira Toriyama and thank you for bringing so much joy into our lives ❤️🐉
