Happy new year! It has been an eventful 2023- I still have a ton to share from my recent visits to Egypt, Jordan, Croatia, and Saudi Arabia. Those travels and more from Rome (my hometown) will come your way in 2024! And plenty of collaborations. Take a look at my latest video- featuring the amazing work of yorescape.com/ that allows me to discuss how statues were originally painted. Enjoy!

I've had a lot of fun recently, exploring a lot of new sites in Italy and abroad. This week, I hope you enjoy the newly opened Domus Tiberiana (opened as of September 21). It is truly an exceptional site and exceptional experience on the Palatine hill. You can access it daily, but you'll need the super ticket (costs a few euros more) to access the ancient rooms that house the engaging museum material: statuary, artifacts from daily life, and more! Let me know what you think about the site.

Join me underground in my latest video. This particular underground site isn't' the most glamorous or famous of the hidden monuments of ancient Rome, but it's important nonetheless. It provides a window into the dynamic city that thrived in the fourth century AD. It's all part of your visit to Museo Barracco, a gem of a museum that is open daily, FREE to all. Its location is fantastic, nestled between Campo de' Fiori and Piazza Navona, and its collection, though small, is unique. And now the crown jewel is open to the public again! The site is below and the frescoes are on display inside the museum. Please have a look with me on the occasion of its recent re-opening. And unravel the mystery of the site!

Did Las Vegas exist in the ancient world? If we search for Sin City in Rome we'll find ancient Baiae, the Mediterranean's spa resort city. Famed throughout Antiquity, Baiae's charm was augmented by the plentiful supply of hot mineral-thermal springs that emanated from its hillsides. It meant that the costly stoking of furnaces that typified Roman baths was removed. Also the medicinal and healing properties of the waters became legendary. Coupled with incredible architecture, it was a stunning experience for the wealthy class of Romans. Even the emperors built their private villas there. Take an exclusive tour of this site that most of the public has never visited! Exclusive drone footage gives you more perspective of ancient Baiae!
