Hi, I'm Enid! I'm in my early 40s, recently single (after a 20+ year marriage), an empty nester, and a full-time law/arts student. My hope for this channel is to provide a cozy space where I can share gentle days at home, heartfelt chats about adjusting to solo-living, and my journey learning to cook for one and to stay within a low-budget. I'm still learning so much about budgeting and living as a single person but I'm excited to create a life that feels calm, intentional, and my own.
This channel is my space to share the small, everyday things that help me to move gently forward one step at a time. I'll be sharing some low-budget cooking, gentle routines, grocery hauls, budgeting, reflections on change, and cozy day in the life vlogs (often with my cat by my side).

Wishing those of you who celebrate Christmas a very merry Christmas, and for those who don't, I hope you have some enjoyable time off!
We've played many a game of magic over the past few days and I have thoroughly enjoyed losing every round of mario kart we've played so far 😂
My sangria is marinating in the fridge, our roast pork and chicken is sliced and tucked away in the fridge alongside the ham, and I decided to throw caution to the wind and made a big pot of proper potato salad (totally worth the impending itchy skin 😁). We finished off the second batch of rum balls a little early but we have heaps of fruit cake left and a pavlova waiting to be topped off.
