Later on this month, Episode 5 of Dissonance will be a full 2 years old. I realize that a lot of people subscribed might have been following the series for more than 4 or 5 years, maybe even longer. I figured I’d make a post letting you guys know that Episode 6 is definitely in the works, but the extended delay has been for more than a few reasons. The biggest one is that school and work have unfortunately kept me from getting into the animating chair lately, probably for obvious reasons. I’m still in University for teaching and I’ve been trying to keep at it as best I can so someone will hire me when I graduate lmao Another big reason is that I’m treating this episode as if I will never have another shot at portraying these characters ever again. Therefore, I’ve been trying to throw everything I got into this project. Some of the shots I’ve been doing for this episode are ones that I’ve had in the back of my mind for YEARS so I want to try and make them as perfect as they can be. Not to mention, I got a ton of really talented voice actors to be in the movie so I want to be able to do their voice work justice as well. Right now, I have about 28 minutes filmed and I’m a little over a third of the way through my script so there’s no question this movie’s gonna be more than an hour long. So it’s DEFINITELY gonna be a 2025 release. I’ll try to aim for somewhere in October or November of next year. It might be more fitting to upload it around that time since Episode 6 also takes place in winter🤷🏻♂️ I’ll be posting plenty of update images and clips on Instagram within that time so in case you wanted to keep up with stuff like that, my insta is @jay_red56
Anyway, that’s all I got. Take care and Happy Holidays everybody :)
Sorry in advance for the low resolution in a few pics but I thought I’d post a few behind the scenes pictures from the Whiplash stop motion for my first community post on YouTube!
If you’re looking for a better look at some of these pics, I’ll also be posting a few pictures and videos on my Instagram which you can follow @jay_red56.
I try to have a pretty consistent presence on there so if you’re ever interested in what I’m working on for future projects, feel free to follow!
