🏍️ LABOR DAY WEEKEND IS HERE — AND WASHINGTON RIDERS HAVE PLACES TO GO! 🏍️

The unofficial last big weekend of summer has arrived. Three days to burn some gasoline, find some back roads and squeeze another good ride out of a Washington summer before fall starts knocking on the door.

We currently have 10 motorcycle events on the GMRW calendar for September 4–6, stretching from Spokane and the Tri-Cities to Puget Sound and Southwest Washington.

⚠️ NOW FOR THE LABOR DAY SERMON.

The roads belong to everybody this weekend — unfortunately, some of them haven't practiced using them since last Labor Day.

Every crappy pappy and his brother will be out there piloting an RV, pulling a boat, hauling a camper or towing a trailer full of gear they drag out about once every couple of years.

Expect overloaded trailers. Wide turns. Sudden lane changes. Missed exits. People staring at GPS screens. And somebody realizing RIGHT NOW that their campground turnoff was 30 feet behind them.

Especially on the major highways and roads leading toward campgrounds, lakes and recreation areas, give everybody some extra room and assume they haven't seen you.

Have fun. Ride the hell out of the weekend. Just keep your head on a swivel so everybody makes it home.

Great Motorcyle rides: Washington

*****DAMN… LOOKS LIKE HIGHWAY 20 IS GOING TO BE CLOSED FOR A WHILE*****
Lots of damage up there this year. From everything currently being reported, there are multiple repair sites crews are working on around the clock as weather allows.
I always look forward to riding the North Cascades Highway every season. It’s one of those bucket-list Washington rides that never gets old.
