John 7:37-39 Now on the final and most important day of the Feast, Jesus stood, and He cried in a loud voice, If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water. But He was speaking here of the Spirit, Whom those who believed (trusted, had faith) in Him were afterward to receive. For the [Holy] Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor).

Today marks the beginning of the feast of tabernacles for this year. A time of celebration for the Hebrews as they remember how God made them dwell in booths in the wilderness. This is after He used Moses as a deliverer to rescue the children of Israel out of Egypt. To us disciples of the Lord we celebrate with the Jews as we also remember what the Lord promised while on earth concerning the Holy Spirit during the 8 day feast which starts this evening. The book of Revelation also tells us that in the new Heaven and new Earth God will tabernacle with His people.

We are on transit on this brief and fleeting heaven and earth. As the book of Revelation shows us that the Lord will unveil a new Heaven and a new Earth which will be inhabited by all who were saved by Jesus the Christ through His crucifixion. He died once for all. All we have to do is accept that salvation through faith in Jesus Christ to receive eternal life.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.
