Hailing from south suburban Chicago, Kembe X is an artist on a daring mission to fuse the realms of nostalgic hip-hop, experimental trap, and electronic soul. His sonic odyssey encapsulates a spectrum of emotions, weaving together the threads of reckless adventure, spiritual introspection, and raw vulnerability. In a musical landscape where conformity often reigns, Kembe X stands as a beacon for those who champion innovative ideas.
Kembe X's stage presence is nothing short of magnetic. From the Hippie Sabotage Tour in 2016 to his involvement in the ScHoolboy Q CrasHtalk Tour in 2019, he has proven time and again that his energy and passion are a force to be reckoned with. Notably, his performances at Rolling Loud Miami from 2014 to 2017 and Rolling Loud Los Angeles 2017 have become legendary, solidifying his status as a festival favorite.

“animated dust” prod by @foisey._ . Everywhere .
fk ice. billionaire oligarchs fund both sides of the political aisle. the conditions black people live under are at best collateral damage of a predatory system and more realistically an intentional piece of imperialism designed to scapegoat our people while giving other people who r also being crushed by this same system an out of “at least we’re not them”. gun violence is the foundation of this country and advanced weaponry is one of if not our biggest export. the revolutionary war is recognized as an act of collective valor. but when we say revolution its demonized. i grew up in the burbs , “away” from the mayhem; yet in those same burbs i saw new RIP tees of kids my age every monday at school. every party i went to was a countdown to gunfire. back then it was exciting. we survived. everybody didnt.

ONE YEAR OF “it’s not that deep”
I. national anthem (unreleased)
this time last year i dropped this EP really just to show off some of the experimental, bass heavy, drum driven sounds i got my hands on while working on the album (that i’m still working on). this was the most i was ever involved in the production process and i’m hella prou of how this mf came out. i know some of y’all are here for the super lyrical rap joints and some of y’all are here for the vulnerable cuts. no matter WHY ur here, i’m grateful ur here 🫂. enjoy. ignorance & substance til my sh*t emulsified! love u
