Just after some aftershocks and walking from Chinatown, through Yokohama Stadium, we had a coffee at a Starbucks close to Kannai Subway Station. During this break, another aftershock.. we got updated about the northeast of Japan had been hit by a tsunami but no images or videos available so far at that moment. It was my last try to get back to Tokyo, but unfortunately all subways and train lines were suspended due to the earthquake.
On the way from Yokohama Chinatown to the nearest subway station, we found many people taking shelter at the surroundings of the Yokohama Stadium. This area is used as an earthquake shelter center, and most of the people on this day, evacuated the surrounding residencial and commercial buildings, scared of their collapse due to the earthquake replicas that at this moment were increasing.

It was a Friday, during a visit to Yokohama to meet an old friend who was working in Japan. I left Tokyo (Shimbashi) early morning, arrived at Yokohama station and had a walk around Minato‐Mirai (area of skyscrapers in front of Yokohama Bay), had lunch in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Mall and walked around the bay to get to Yamashita Park to take some pictures and have a coffee, then... It was one of the longest days in my whole life, the panic at the moment of the first shock, the chaos in the city just to get around or to buy a snack or have dinner, the replicas of the earthquake, and the suspension of all subways and train lines completed the mess scenario. We had coffee in a Starbucks close to the Yokohama Stadium, to catch up about what was happening and plan what to do next, when suddenly... one more replica, when the news quoted: "no trains or subways to Tokyo up to tomorrow morning". It was unbelievable, all my clothes and other stuff was in a Tokyo hotel room, and there was a crowd walking all around the Yokohama station neighborhood making lines to make phone calls on those old green public phones (cellphones were not working too), lines to get buses/taxis, lines to buy water or some snacks in any "konbini" and of course and unfortunately for me, lines to reserve a hotel room! It was impossible to find a hotel with vacancy, all of them had the sign: "大満室"
After many unsuccessful tries, including the InterContinental Yokohama Grand (with its lobby crowded, all spaces were occupied with people sitting all around the floor), we decided to have dinner in an Italian restaurant to get some rest and look for a place to stay, just in the corner of the restaurant we found a Cybercafe, it was crowded too, but after some time in line, I could get an individual cabin (around 12:00 am). It was not very comfortable, but enough to have some sleep sat down in a computer chair. Even though there were many replicas during that night from 12:20am up to 4:30am, which made the whole building to sway and giving the impression it could fall apart, I could rest a bit and be ready for the day after...(that in fact was also a challenge)
My prays to all victims of that tragic day.

地震のレプリカがあったり、中華街を出たり、横浜スタジアムを歩いた直後、地下鉄関内駅近くのスターバックスでコーヒーを飲みました。 この休憩中に、別の地震のレプリカが発生しました。日本の北東部が津波に襲われたという最新情報がありましたが、現時点では画像や動画はありません。 東京に帰るのはこれが最後の機会でしたが、残念ながら地震で地下鉄や電車がすべて停止しました。

日本で働いていた友達に会うために横浜を訪れたのは火曜日でした。早朝に東京（新橋）を出発し、横浜駅に到着して港未来（横浜湾前の高層ビル）を散歩し、横浜赤レンガ倉庫2館で昼食をとり、湾を散歩して山下公園に着きました。写真を撮ってコーヒーを飲んで…（動画）
それは私の人生で最も長い日の1つであり、最初のショックの瞬間のパニック、ただ移動したり、軽食を買ったり夕食を食べたりするための街の混乱、地震のレプリカ、そしてすべての地下鉄と電車の路線は停止していたが混乱のシナリオを完了しました。横浜スタジアム近くのスターバックスでコヒーを飲んでニュースを探すことができ、コヒー休憩の間に「明日の朝まで東京への電車や地下鉄はありません」というニュースが引用されたとき、突然もう1つのレプリカがありました。信じられないほどで、服などはすべて東京のホテルの部屋にあり、横浜駅周辺を歩いて、古い緑の公衆電話に電話をかける列があったり（携帯電話も機能していませんでした）。
バス/タクシーを利用するための列も、「コンビニ」で水や軽食を購入するための列も、そしてもちろん、残念ながら私にとっては、ホテルの部屋を予約するための列がありました！空室のあるホテルを見つけることは不可能でした、それらのすべては「大満室」のサインを持っていました。
インターコンチネンタル横浜グランド（ロビーが混雑し、すべてのスペースが床一面に座っている人で埋め尽くされていた）を含む多くの失敗した試みの後、私たちはイタリア製レストランで夕食を食べるながらインターネットで一泊場所を探しました。レストランの隣にサイバーカフェを見つけました、それも混雑していました、しかししばらくして私は列に待って個別のキャビンができました（午前12時頃）。あまり快適ではありませんでしたが、コンピューターの椅子に腰を下ろすながら寝ることができました。その夜の午前12時20分から午前4時30分までの間にレプリカがたくさんあり、建物全体が揺れ、崩壊するような印象を与えましたが、少し休んで翌日の準備ができました... （実際にはそれも課題でした）
その悲劇的な日のすべての犠牲者に私の祈りを捧げます。
