I’m really enjoying the latest @driesvannoten Havana Gold fragrance and I’m wearing it as my SOTD today. Along with Havana Gold I also really love Chamomile Satin two of my favorites from this line.
Havana Gold is a super sticky, honeyed sweetness which surrounds the musty dry leafy tobacco and of course the spiciness of licorice and anice. I don’t get much smoke with this fragrance if at all so I believe it’s the leaf, the tobacco leaf that’s highlighted here. But I really love the dryness of the leaf and the spices and stickiness of the honey amber effect. It’s quite yum. And pretty potent!

Hey folks! If you saw my ultra-long-form Fresh Fragrances video yesterday but skipped it because there were no visible timestamps, don’t worry, they are there! I spent a crazy amount of time creating them myself, and they’re all in the info box.
Unfortunately, after some digging, I found out that YouTube doesn’t display chapters properly if there are 100 or more of them. And this video? It features 122 fragrances, broken down into 15 categories, plus an intro and outro, 139 chapters in total.

Whoa! This stuff is so nuclear makes me go anosmic. Super potent, synthetic Amber Woods combo, but pretty nose blinding. I completely stopped smelling this, but everyone says what is it that you’re wearing, it smells great. I feel like this is a stronger version of their No. 4 Apres L’Amour and I felt that was nuclear ☢️ already. But that is Eau De Parfum and this is Extrait De Parfum. So much stronger.

I had the great pleasure of meeting legendary perfumer Christopher Sheldrake https://youtu.be/u7o3h0bx8xk for Serge Lutens last March during Paris Perfume Week. And also Veronique Spoturno, whose great-grandfather was Francois Spoturno of Coty. Francois Coty. Christopher has created five new fragrances for the new house, Spoturno, and I had the opportunity to chat with both Christopher and Veronique very late one evening after a long day about the new house and the five fragrances.
