The new @guerlain Habit Rouge flanker called Spirit is finally out and I bought a bottle while in Paris. This new flanker is in collaboration with @hennessy
I stopped into the Guerlain boutique 8 days ago and Spirit was still not available but finally yesterday they had it. 8 days ago they did tell me this is a limited edition collaboration but yesterday I was told this is a permanent collection release.
It does come in Parfum Concentration just like last years release of Habit Rouge Parfum but this is slightly different. I don’t find it too much different than the Parfum that already exists from last year. And even though the Habit Rouge Parfum from last year had boozy touches this does seem to have more of a an amplified boozy presence but other than that it’s pretty much the same. I’ll test it out and report on it further in the coming days. But just like the Habit Rouge Parfum from last year which was a favorite of mine from all the men’s designer releases this is also really good.
Anyone else got your nose on this new Habit Rouge Spirit? More to come soon. 😀

So happy to have been able to sample the new @jilsander OLFACTORY SERIES 1 Fragrances on a brief stop in Munich at the Jil Sander boutique there. Kind of an excuse to smell these and I spent a good 45 minutes smelling, testing and buying one of the 6 and enjoyed three of them including Leaf, Miel and Coffea. Guess which one I bought.

Well I got to sample the new @maisonfranciskurkdjian Kurky at @harrods @harrodsbeauty
It was a very musky but fruity candied concoction. Not overly sweet perhaps the overdose left of the musk tones down the sweetness. And for some reason I got strawberries. I haven’t worn it yet but this is not really my cup of tea! I don’t hate it but I don’t love it. 😀

What a coincidence that on the my first day in London a new @maisoncrivelli Safran Secret release is launched at @harrods
This is a relaunch of one of my favorite offerings from the house of Maison Crivelli formerly known as Ingredients 07/2012 which is a Saffron Bomb! It was exclusive to a store in Prague and was difficult to get. I spoke about it quite a bit but it was a mysterious launch no notes were revealed at that time. But you can tell it featured saffron as it has that fabric-leather suede smell. With woods and some light ambery touches. But now comes the re-release as Safran Secret and it’s still the gorgeous fragrance I remember wearing. Definitely one of my favorites from the extracts. And excited that it’s officially launched everywhere!!
Those of you that have asked me where to get Ingredients 07/2012 now you can with Safran Secret. I’m uncertain when this rolls out everywhere where the brand sells their scents but it is at Harrods. And Harrods does ship to the USA. Ha! I’m so happy this is back and officially launched.

The new @hermes Terre D’Hermes Eau De Parfum Intense has launched and I got to sample it. It seems to start quite smoky on initial blast and doesn’t remind of the OG DNA on initial blast but it eventually dries down to smelling like the OG on skin. Not identical but certainly has the same DNA of the original!!
It’s quite a classy, gentlemanly, woody, spicy offering, I think. But do we need another Terre D’Hermes flanker? I’m a bit bored of this DNA already.

@calvinklein is definitely not a brand I speak about often but it’s certainly a brand I grew up with. Recently I tested the two new men’s and women’s Eternity flankers called Amber Essence. I’ve been wanting to get my nose on these as soon as I heard about them a few months back. Was happy to find them at one of the airports I visited on my travels. And honestly both were fairly decent. And even though they don’t smell anything like the original Eternity fragrances from the late 80s I know and grew up with they are good releases. A little bit of niche in a mass market designer release. I’m looking forward to adding Eternity Men Amber Essence to my collection as soon as I find a promotion for it. And anyone into designer scents who wants to step out of smelling like everyone else but wants to stay with designers should enjoy these. 😀
