wo more pieces for the growing collection. I've been playing with different layered substrates. The first one is artwork on a canvas panel that has been mounted to a wrapped canvas covered in one of my gel prints. I just love the colorful patina of this one. The second is a canvas panel mounted to a wood cradle.

Who else likes to layer substrates when framing your artwork? Here I've started with an 8x10 floater frame with a wrapped canvas where I've experimented with a gel printing technique on tissue for a base layer of a grungy background. The collage was done on 140 lb watercolor paper mounted to a canvas panel. The collage pieces were all made from gel prints. What's your favorite way to frame your artwork?

I've been in Studio B for a few days and had a bit of time to play with some fun gel printing techniques. The first one had a few issues that called for some doodling. I can't wait to see where this one goes! The second was an epic fail so I cut it up into leaves and circles...nothing wasted so I see some white pen mark making for my evening playtime. The last one turned out to be a beautiful background. I can to get back home and play a little more...or a lot more... see you soon!
